I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant given all the great reviews. Firs the positive - the staff is very nice, diligent and professional. The prices are very reasonable. Now for the so-so, we got green curry, Tom Yum soup, larb, and fried tofu. Unfortunately, I would rate the food as average. The dishes were more greasy and bland than we expected. The Tom Yum soup was greasy and didn't have the lemongrass or spicy/sour flavor. The Larb was missing the lime/basil taste and it was also greasy. The curry was kind of soupy and lacked the strong curry flavor and it was also greasy - maybe too much coconut milk? The tofu was overly fried. Who knows, maybe they had an off day and not sure if ordering everything "mild" threw them off also, but I don't see why it would. I will say, mild is no spice at all, which is different than my experience with Thai restaurants, since I expect "mild" to still have some kick to it. All in all, I wouldn't dissuade anyone from trying it as your experience may be different. Five stars for the staff and two...

I came to the restaurant on 1-19-2017. The restaurant was unsanitary and the service was terrible. Our waitress serving us was the taller thinner woman, not the shorter one dressed in black. She did not really serve us while we were there and in fact, kept looking at us with a bad look towards the end waiting for us to sign the receipt. Based off our overall experience, we decided not to tip. My wife and I had got into our truck and as we were pulling out of the parking space, the waitress that served us came out asking us to stop. I stopped and she questions us rudely why we did not tip her. I stated I do not have to tip. She then stated for us not to come back in a very rude and ugly manner. She stayed still near my truck window looking at us very ugly and made some small ugly gestures. I stated to please leave us alone and quit harassing us. She then cussed us out. I stated I was going to pull out my camera to record her actions. She then walked off and flipped my...

My sister and I LOVE Thai cuisine, we just moved to this side of town so we decided to try something close by. This is definantley one of those, "don't-judge-a-book-by-its-cover" places. When you drive by it really looks crappy, I never had even noticed when it was there. However, when you walk in, it's a completley different story. Not the fanciest, but it looks really nice on the inside, kind of suprises you when you walk in. Anyway the service was okay I guess, I'm sure if it was more busy then it would have sucked. They don't have a kiddy menu so if you decided to take your kids, make you get them something before. I'm not too sure what the plate was called, but it was SO GOODDD! It was glass noodles, chicken, shrimp, and veggies! We also had Ginger chicken.. it was so-so. Nothing special! Although the servings were small (usually when I go to Thai restaurants) they give you a good amount! All in all- I would go back!...

Restaurant closes at 8pm says the manager who came out to perform a dance while chanting “We’re closed” in the most humiliating taunting manner. This was one of the most distasteful experience I’ve ever endured, while simply attempting to nurture my friend and I. I called the restaurant and received “We’re closed” from the other end, I stated that google reflected another time(9:30pm) and was told “Don’t look at google” to my surprise. I was also informed that the restaurant has been closing at 8pm for the past 3 years. We arrived at 8:47pm and were denied service… Well we were served a plethora of unapologetic rudeness. I share my review saddened and disappointed, in hopes to save you time and gas. Pssst… I took this photo as I pulled away for time stamp, but the cheerleader darted inside to avoid being photographed leaving the door open.

I started coming here in 2007. Veng Thai offers authentic Thai cuisine with bold colors, flavors & spices, with just the right amount of spicyness & heat. They don't offer desserts nor do they have a large selection of beverages but rather a few choices of canned sodas. Also, the hostess & waitresses aren't very friendly but they make up for this with good food. The place is quaint, with a cozy atmosphere. The overall temperature in the restaurant was a little warm for my personal preference. The meal sizes are somewhat disproportionate to their prices (Smaller size portions for the amount of money they charge in comparison to other Chinese/Vietnamese/Thai/Etc restaurants) We ordered the seafood soup & green chicken curry. The curry was excellent!

Outside the restaurant, the signage says simply "THAI FOOD" and the name of the restaurant in orange neon light above the entrance door is not very visible in bright daylight. Inside, it is a no-frill tidy settings, just chairs and tables covered with red vinyl table cloth. The servers (one man and one woman) were very friendly and professional. You can dictate the level of hotness (as in spiciness) but we just requested the regular since it was our first time and it turned not too spicy at all. One of the dishes we ordered was a lot sweeter than I ever had of Thai food. Overall, the food was very good but with the portion served, I considered it expensive. We were told that the restaurant has been here for over 15 years.
