HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM A STAFF MEMBER NAMED MARIA and no better service from her MANAGER KARLA. I ordered a 6 piece nuggets and a free Frosty when I pulled up there was no greetings from her. She just took my card and gave me the food. When I checked my bag I noticed there was 2 orders of 6 piece nuggets when I asked her if she charged me extra for it she LOOKED at the receipt and LAUGHED “NO”. She then she proceeded to keep the receipt, but I asked for it cause I had a feeling she need charge me extra. I checked it while I was driving off and just like I knew she charged me twice. Common mistake I get it but for her to LOOK at the receipt and lie and then keep the receipt is where she messed up. So when I pulled up to the window she tried to cover her mistake by saying she thought I was talking about the frosty (understandable I guess) but she came hostile and demanded I gave her the nuggets back. I feel like because of the mistake I should keep them but I gave them back. After that I requested to speak to the manager that KNOWS what she’s doing unfortunately the manager Karla wasn’t any better and they both seemed clueless. So Maria came back with my refund but no receipt. She then stated she put it in the garbage! So I asked for another one and she kept saying it was in the garbage! Then she stormed off and printed out a receipt that just had had 1 chicken nuggets on it not my original order. So I asked her AGAIN to provide me with my original copy receipt. But she kept saying it was in the Garbage!!!!! Either pull it out or print another the exact same! How hard is that??? She got so mad that she asked me if I was okay in the HEAD?!? How disrespectful is that!!!! At this point I was furious and honestly so disappointed because the manager was there but not once did she intervene. EVENTUALLY I was finally give me original copy of my receipt and was able to leave. Also left a complaint on the official Wendy’s website. I arrived at this Wendy’s around 9:25 PM. The lobby was closed, so I proceeded to the drive-thru window to place an order. I was in my Metro Transit uniform, which clearly indicates that I’m a bus operator.
The first young lady at the window was polite but had difficulty understanding me, so she called for the manager. When the manager came, she asked the employee if the store was closed. The employee responded that the lobby was closed but the drive-thru was still open.
I asked if I could place an order, and the manager looked me up and down before saying, “We can’t take orders like that.” I asked what she meant, and she explained that they don’t serve people who walk up to the window. I informed her that I drive buses and cannot bring a 40-foot bus through the drive-thru lane. She repeated that she couldn’t take my order.
The lack of professionalism and customer service was disappointing. Rather than trying to offer a reasonable solution, I was dismissed without consideration. I ended up going next door to Jack in the Box, where the manager was courteous and happy to take my order without issue.
This experience left a poor impression of Wendy’s management and highlights a need for better customer service training and understanding of unique situations...
Read moreTotally disappointing experience. It's been a while since we had Wendy's and we have no clue what happened to the quality. The food was obviously not fresh at all. The burgers and chicken sandwiches were SO dry. The burgers were barely warm. Everything was clearly cooked and held for a long time. What's worse is the fact that they serve expired fish sandwiches. We didn't even know that Wendy's offered fish sandwiches, because it is not listed on the menu. However, I saw it in the app and my mother wanted to give it a try.
I double checked the food while waiting for her strawberry lemonade and the sandwich stunk. It clearly smelled like fish that had gone bad, but this location was trying to sell it anyway. When we asked the woman who identified herself as the manager and she dismissed it as just a fish smell. The sandwich reeked, even inside of the bag. We returned the sandwich and requested a crispy chicken sandwich. We were not offered the difference in price, even when we asked for a refund and recharge for the replacement item.
