When I first got there, about 5 customers were standing to the side waiting for their order. This probably indicated the food was being freshly prepared. There was only one person in front of me to place an order, but it took a couple of minutes to get helped. It seems like the employees working the registers were also actively helping customers behind the scenes, so the registered weren't manned all the time. There was one register opened for cash and one for credit plus debit. This separation could be faster on some times, but there was a small "cash only" line being formed behind me while the register next to me was idling. I don't think anyone had to wait longer than 5 minutes to place their order.
Upon placing your order, you get a plastic sign with a number on it (in retrospect I wonder if they clean these). My meal was prepared in just a couple of minutes. I felt like it was fast enough. However they did forget "no ice", which had also happened to one of the customers standing in line waiting for her food when I got there".
The seating area was shared with a neighboring food shop. Another customer came over to ask for a couple of wipes so she could clean her table. I was by myself and picked a seat at a bar type long table. There were some grains of rice there from a previous customer. It looked like there were just about enough seats for everyone, but that could be because some customers had taken their orders elsewhere due to lack of space.
The quality of the food was good. I can't compare the flavor to other Whataburger stores because I picked something I hadn't had elsewhere yet. Their menu seemed to have less listed than other Whataburgers, but this was not why I went for this particular meal.
I do recommend stopping by if you're looking for a quick and...
Read moreAlways drive by Smashburger during my work. Stuck in IHX for next 4hrs due to delayed flights and was able to check Whataburger off my list (there's none in San Diego). Got myself a double meat and cheese burger and a small fry. $8.65 for the burger and fries were $2.17. I'm guessing these are airport prices. I hope. Lol. Gotta admit that it was cooked very well with two smashed patties and properly put together with melted cheese, lettuce, grilled chunky onions and tomatoes. Not sure what condiments were in the burger, but I appreciated the nice mustard taste. Don't know if the buns were supposed to be smashed but it worked for me. Normally i get my burgers lettuce wrapped, but during my flight delays frustration, forgot to ask. The fries were nicely cooked, crisp yet hot and fluffy inside. As for comparison to other burger joints, imo Burger king is pretty equivalent, minus...
Read moreWhataburger at Terminal B is an assembly line of gastronomic efficiency, the equivalent of a fast food concerto. Imagine our surprise to be swept into this dance of culinary precision, waiting a mere 7 minutes despite a queue that would give concertgoers a run for their money. The staff, operating with the synchrony of a well-oiled machine, deftly juggle taking orders and ensuring no customer is left adrift. The star of the show? The Breakfast on a Bun - a breakfast sandwich that laughs in the face of tradition and declares, "Who needs an English muffin when you have a 4-inch hamburger bun?" We threw bacon into the mix and were served a taste of breakfast rebellion. Let's be real, the decor is nothing to write home about. But Whataburger doesn't promise you the Louvre. It promises a 5-star staff and a dependable breakfast sandwich. And it delivers, oh, how...
