It was my second time at this restaurant during my time at the Houston airport. The last time was almost 3 years ago, I never thought that the service would have dropped so much. When we got to the restaurant, all the tables were dirty, with dirty dishes on most of the tables, everything looked bad. There were only one or two waitresses in the whole restaurant and the man at the bar, which explained that they could not cope with the large number of customers. We decided to sit at the bar since it was "the cleanest place in the whole restaurant" (but it was still dirty), the man at the bar was very rude, arrogant, he did not explain well the dynamics of the restaurant to order by QR code, only A flannel came in to "clean" our space, he yelled something super fast that we didn't understand and left. We are left without knowing how to order food. Minutes later he returns and sees us lost, he talks to us super fast again, throws us a QR code and leaves. We scanned the QR code and began to see the menu, we were going to pay with an individual PriorityPass card each, when the man at the bar returned and we told him that we were going to use PriorityPas, he yelled something like "WE DO NOT ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDS" and went away again. We did not understand why he told us about the american express card (we do not use american express, our PriorityPass membership was purchased directly without a bank or credit card involved). He came back again, and I asked him again if he accepted PriorityPass, he yelled again "WE DO NOT ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDS", then he replied in a loud voice "WE DO NOT HAVE AMERICAN EXPRESS, OUR PRIORITYPASS MEMBERSHIP IS NOT THROUGH ANY CARD", then He replied again "ALL PRIORITYPASSES ARE THROUGH A CREDIT CARD, ALL, WE DO NOT ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS", I replied again "WE BUY OUR MEMBERSHIPS DIRECTLY WITH PRIORITY PASS". We gave up the battle with the man at the bar in a bad temper and decided to order. He brought us the food (reluctantly, as if doing us a favor). We finished eating, and when paying, my brother and I, each presented him the codes of our PriorityPass separately, he told us "I am going to charge the account only to a PriorityPass", I answered "No, separately" ( In context, each one had 1 individual membership so each one had $ 28 of credit, enough to cover individual accounts). Despite what we told him, the man charged the entire account to 1 single prioritypass membership (adding one of us as a Guest for extra cost) so at that moment I received a notification from the bank with a charge of $ 28 extra for a + 1Guest. It was the worst food, the worst service I have had at the houston airport and the worst, it was costly, since the man at the bar ended up doing what he wanted, making them charge me an extra 28 dollars from the account despite the fact that We were entitled to free food for our memberships. I called the prioritypass call center and they told me that they couldn't do anything, that what the waiter did was already done. I will never return...

The woman passed our table several times and since she didn't acknowledge us, I didn't know she was our server. After a while, she aggressively said: I opened your table for orders, and pointed at the QR code. There was no sign explaining such and she treated us like it was our fault we didn't know. The kicker: a group of 4 older men were sat down at the next table and immediately, she greeted them with a huge smile, asked how they were doing and explained that they should order through the app. The difference with which we were treated was crystal clear.
I didn't know that the Cadillac bar also operated as a lounge; we simply intended to eat there as a normal restaurant. During our meal, she asked if we had a Priority card. I said yes, and asked her what the benefits were with the restaurant. She abruptly walked away while I was talking and pulling up my card. After several minutes, it was clear she wasn't returning; I flagged her down and asked again: what is the restaurant's deal with the priority card? She claimed to not know and was not interested in scanning my card. After some dancing around and not wanting to answer my questions, she scanned my card and claimed to not know what the screen says. I looked up my perks on the card and learned for myself that the Cadillac bar acts as a lounge for Priority Card members. I had over $50 worth of (free)food to spend there between me and my guest.
She came by later and said: your food is free, as if she was giving me free food. Lol. I told her that I looked up my benefits and have over $50 to spend. I asked for a dessert menu, and she said: we don't have dessert. I told her I saw that there was sopapias. She said "yeah, it's just fried tortillas". I told her that's the dessert we wanted.
I used to be a server, and would never treat guests this way, no matter what their appearance or who they were. I gave her a respectable tip she didn't deserve because I felt that someone her age should not be working in such a labor job, and I have general respect for the service industry. Management should take note of this atrocious service and why the ratings for this...
Read moreDuring a recent layover at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, my wife and I decided to grab a quick bite to eat at Cadillac Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar. We were drawn in by the enticing aroma of Mexican spices wafting from the restaurant as we passed by. Despite our limited time, we were pleasantly surprised by the attentive service and delicious food.
Amenities:
Generous Portion Sizes: The portion sizes at Cadillac Mexican Kitchen were incredibly generous. We ordered the chicken quesadillas, and were amazed by the size of the servings. Each quesadilla was loaded with flavorful chicken and melted cheese, making for a satisfying meal.
Priority Pass Benefits: Thanks to our Priority Pass membership, we had the opportunity to enjoy up to $35 off our bill. This was a fantastic perk that allowed us to indulge in a hearty meal without worrying about breaking the bank. We kept our order just under the limit and happily paid extra for a tip.
Great Location: Situated conveniently within Terminal A of IAH Houston airport, Cadillac Mexican Kitchen is easily accessible to travelers passing through. Its central location makes it a convenient option for those looking for a delicious meal before catching their next flight.
Warm Chips and Salsa: Alongside our main dish, we were served a large bowl of warm tortilla chips accompanied by flavorful salsa. It was the perfect way to start our meal and added an extra touch of authenticity to our dining experience. Hours of Operation: Cadillac Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar is open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Service: While the food at Cadillac Mexican Kitchen exceeded our expectations, we did notice that the restaurant seemed understaffed during our visit. Despite this, the servers were friendly and did their best to accommodate the needs of all the diners.
Overall Impression: Our experience at Cadillac Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar was a memorable one. From the generous portion sizes to the flavorful dishes, every aspect of our meal was delightful.
