Talking to the serving staff, this is possibly the first review of their special room in the back for a large dinner parties. The room that you see in the pictures can hold at least 24 people if not more, we had plenty of space to have a buffet of pizza, pasta, salads, delicious dressings, and beverages of our choice. I got the virgin bloody Mary, and it was absolutely delicious. The food was served warm and hot and cold when it needed to be cold. The Alfredo sauce was not greasy like you would get it other dining areas. The Detroit style pizza, commonly known as deep dish was the following pizzas. Pepperoni, meat, lovers, Corti, special, onion, mushroom and green pepper. The American pizza served were. BBQ, chicken pepperoni, cheese, ham, bacon, and pepperoni. The non-greasy Alfredo sauce, pasta, three days later reheated I am absolutely enjoying last night. I added more grated Parmesan cheese, which made it a delight last night. What surprises me is that? I usually don’t like leftovers, but these are good. I knew before I walked into the place if there had been many negative responses from friends people that been here when the place first open and currently and I’ll tell you right now I can disregard those negative comments because this is a much better facility than I thought. Yes you can play bocce here but I didn’t have the money to be able to play it so I kinda skipped it but I really do want to come back and try some more other different pizzas and especially the Alfredo sauce. It really is good. For a small private party the back room is a nice relaxing quiet spot to enjoy the company of your family and friends and the good food. Ginelle, , Peter, , Luis, and Tyler were outstanding weight staff for our group.
Is one of your options to choose for a small party, I hope you consider Canadi pizza bar and bocce .
With my poor vision and the small writing on my phone I had a hard time spelling words correctly, especially the name of the establishment. I think it’s CORNETTI but “but don’t quote me anyways this is a great spot. This was a private dinner party for a baptism of a little one, so I did not have to include prices for what this cost, but you can always inquire at the desk what they charge for the food here. I do not drink so I had a virgin bloody Mary and I was blown away by the great taste, and the second round they even gave me olives lots of...
Read moreFirst and last time going to this restaurant. It was our 33rd anniversary and we decided to try Coratti's as it looks to be popular and the food smells good when one walks past there. So very disappointed. It was Thursday night, dinner hour, so the place was not too crowded. The hostess insisted they save the area close to the hostess station for families, and that they prefer if we were seated at the front in the patio area. Weather is changing and there was a blast of cold air from above that we had to contend with during the whole time. Never could take our coats off. For most of our meal, we were the only customers that were segregated to this front unheated area. Service was barely adequate. Server seemed perturbed when we asked what kind of beers they had. Reluctantly, she finally named a few choices. Later we were never offered a second drink when our beers were finished. My husband would've had a second beer, if someone had been available to ask. Midway through our time here, I got up to use the bathroom, and noted on my way, how warm and comfortable the rest of the restaurant was, and that there were in fact quite a few couples in the area where we were told they preferred families to sit.
Food was dropped off without any condiments offered for the sweet potato fries. When I walked around hunting for ketchup on empty tables, the waitress asked if there was something we needed. Finally got some ketchup and another sauce.
Paid for the pricey meal, $77, and added the standard 20% tip. But we were so very disappointed that we had such a miserable dining experience there. This was our first impression, and management should realize that the first experience for a new customer will determine whether or not they return, or recommend the restaurant to friends and family. Other neighboring restaurants that we've had past anniversary meals at have always been friendly and accommodating to their customers. Although the food here was good at Coratti's, it truly isn't worth going there as the staff seemed to ensure they want people in and out of the place quickly, and do nothing to ensure their customers have a pleasant...
Read moreFinally made it over to Howell to try what I hoped would be some decent pizza. We came on a Sunday night at 6:30 PM. The oven roasted sicilian olives were excellent and the gelato was fine (not like what we'd find in Greece or Italy, but ok). Both were priced fairly. The pizza was ok for mid-Michigan, but I can't believe that this is what they were trained to produce in Naples. Crust was nice and crisp on the edges and tasted good. The problem was the sauce was bland and floated on top of the crust with the cheese floating on top of the sauce. When cooked well, all three blend together into a delicious medley, but this was not that. A bit overpriced for what one gets with pizza, but nowhere near the overpricing of the pasta dish and wine though (and why must the glass of wine poured be a quart--in Italy everyone drinks wine with a meal, but a small glass is adequate for serving so as to enhance the meal rather than create a state of drunkenness. But, really all of that would have been a nice, pleasant meal if the meal could have been enjoyed. Is it really necessary to blast Taylor Swift and some awful country songs at such a volume that one can not hold a discussion at the table? Again, this was 6:30 on a Sunday evening not 11:30 on Saturday night at a college bar. It made me never want to come there again. In fact, one of my dining companions said that she was tempted to go stand out in the rain rather than be subjected to the blasting music and screaming children any longer (and, no, she is not elderly but a 20 year old who was looking for a pleasant dining experience). We were hoping to play a game of bocce, but fled to get away from the complete lack of ambience in the establishment. We were so looking forward to promised opening in East Lansing, but have little interest in that possibility after this experience. Perhaps a child should not be allowed to be in charge of the...
