This will be long but hear me out. You will want to add this to your list of places to stop.
My first thought about Hubbard Inn was “Hubbard”? Upon my first reaction when I entered was WOW. Seriously, the vibe and design of this place is simply stunning and intriguing. You first see the bar with this intricate steam punk design with machines moving up and down. Moving my eyes towards the center you get introduced to a wide display of industrial meets classy. The lights hanging above the bar make you take a second look. They are glass bottles designed in this amazing collection of three that is just designed in such a perfect way. As you walk toward the back, on the right you see beautiful wooden tables and industrial chairs next to garage doors that open up In the summer for that outdoor seating vibe. Further on your way towards the backs you are met with a beautiful white wall with a window where the chefs place the prepared food and an amazing copper sign for the Hubbard Inn. Very tasteful and modern. Upon glancing at the ceiling you see this amazing, elaborate chandelier built with the same lights above the bar. Now this is all sitting on this beautiful ceiling tile that gives this royal antique approach.
I decided to sit at the bar in front of this antique cash register that just ties is all in together since it was built in the 1800’s.
As I peeked at the menu I was met with a small yes tasteful menu with some amazing items to choose from. I personally like smaller menus as it shows that the kitchen specializes in those items.
I ordered some Flautas and garlic bread. My mouth was watering with excitement just reading the description. I was met with this plate laid with beautiful pieces of perfectly grilled toast and minced olives with this sauce that was heaven. The Flautas didn’t disappoint as well. Perfectly deep fried and the sauce spilled over it was paired perfectly with each bite.
I do recommend this place and will be...
Read moreI’ll give my cons and pros (yes I know that’s in reverse) and why I gave only 4 stars. My personal preferences some people might find the cons positive.
Cons: Tacos don’t have meat but avocado. Same with flatas (rolled fried tacos). The prime rib is aged (not a fan of aged meat - again personal preference). Not open everyday ( I understand staffing is hard right now) limited food selection
*The next one is the only reason I removed a star and the only “real” con. No kids allowed because they want to have video poker. Why not have it just separate like other places or no kids after 8pm or something. Many other places have figured out how to accommodate this.
I have been here 8+ times since they opened. But I would have been here 2 times a week if you could bring a kid and grab a beer even if it’s outside. Hubbard has lots of young families I know of 3 other couples that haven’t made it yet because they have a kid.
Ohhh and here is the kicker, they don’t have video poker because the states useless and behind in issuing them machines. When will they get them? Probably 3 years who knows.
Pros: Amazing ceviche. For reals. I can’t stand any “fishy” taste when it’s not fresh/unfrozen for too long. The shrimp/rockfish I have as 5 times and it’s always on point. Bomb smash burger and fries. I am picky about both. Fries aren’t breaded, not too big and not to small. the best Greek salad I have had. They don’t add filler romaine lettuce but they do add crispy chickpeas. So good. Very nice staff every single one I’ve spoken to Very cool steam punk vibe. The inside looks very cool. big garage windows they open when it’s hot. very clean inside great beer selection good cocktails did I mention the bomb food. It’s bomb.
(Not sure why it wouldn’t let me add food pics - food...
Read moreLet me just start this review with a thank you to the staff to the owners to the cooks. Who made this entire establishment. Feel like home. I grew up in Sherwood back in the day were two bars. Everyone knew each other into this day walking in here brought back to nostalgia into a staff that still remembers your name from back in the day Moving to Hubbard with my husband I absolutely was taken back and brought myself to feeling that same nostalgic feeling slowly because the staff the food and the environment felt like home Tatiana was the first bartender I met, That created an experience so wonderful where I kept coming back. It’s rare for people in hospitality to get compliments from customers, and I find that anybody who creates an amazing experience anywhere deserves to here I think you and feel appreciation for a job all done we come in every week one to two times solely because of the people who were hired to bring experience to this establishment. Thank you for making it feel like home to...
