From Russia With Love — Restaurant in Hubbard

I am not one to normally leave a review. However my several bad experiences with the Hubbard location has left me feeling like I should at least alert the owners to the rude service I have received more than not. I have had normal decent service a few times. Usually it's just being short or answering questions like they are annoyed by it. Examples: ordering a full order of fries and receiving a few ketchup compared to amt of fries given. I politely ask for more and am handed two. Àt this point I offer to buy more ketchup. Upon I am shoved ketchup at me rudely and with annoyance. I again offer to pay... There have been number of times I've come close to closing (within a half hour or so) to be told they were shutting down. I suggest moving your closing time or a sign stating no orders however long you need before posted closing time. There have been many more encounters. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. I ordered my food and received something other than what I normally get with that order. The woman in charge was short and annoyed with me trying to explain what I was indicating was different. I finally communicate it in a way she understood and am told that they are out of that product. Well this is not a little change in product brand but rather an entirely different product type and since I was just ordering it alone, I was expecting what is always provided. I simply and politely said that I do not like this type of product, I wish they had informed me prior to ordering it. She got upset demanded her worker refund my money. I said I wasn't asking for a refund just that I would like to know if a product is different from what is always served next time. Especially if I came just to order it. (You have to know I am always polite and speak kindly). I had money given to me by the worker doing what she was told. I tried to decline it...she insist all while showing their upset clearly. My point is customer service is the center of your business. Without it, your business won't be as successful as it would otherwise. I was never rude or demanding. I always tip and I pay without complaining the overly high prices. I get that they have to make a living also. But being kind and understanding to the customer who just like everyone else is struggling and is splurging on what they really shouldn't be... Then treating them poorly is what we really don't need. The food is great there. Prices are high... But are high everywhere. I just think about how you would feel if tables were turned. No one is above being kind...

I went to this local establishment to support our local businesses today, and asked the women attending for advise and what she recommended I purchase. She rolled her eyes, placed her hands on her hips and basically said she had the menu up, that i could choose whatever was up there. I could tell she was not in a good mood and decided to take my businesses elsewhere. I politely smiled and wished her a good day, she replied so you don’t want coffee, I said no thank you 🙏🏼 and she just slammed her window.

I was very disappointed at this women’s attitude, I do realize I could have googled a drink and done some homework myself, but my ultimate goal was to try something different and get to know this establishment and maybe have it become my regular go to coffee place versus a large corporation. Unfortunately, that was not that case, I do empathize with this women, maybe she was short handed, maybe she had been yelled at by a previous customer, maybe today just wasn’t her day, I do wish her day gets brighter and better, as for myself I will try another local establishment, and not return...

This place i went to is right next to a "taco truck" across from the flying J truck stop in Aurora, OR. Theres no loaction showing for this one. It is amazing. The food is awesome, damn good price for the amount you get. I got the daily special, which was a barbecue chicken "sandwich". The bread for was delicious. I also got an iced snickers coffee. Made perfect. My husband got cinnamon and sugar fry bread. That was fantastic also. The people were very nice. It was very clean on the outside. Will definitely always stop here anytime we are...
