El Costeño Restaurante LLC — Restaurant in Hubbard

This was our first time here and it's going to be our go-to for Mexican food, I think. It's not the standard Mexican restaurant experience (with chips and salsa while you wait, over the top decorations, etc). It's more relaxed atmosphere and more traditional food than a place like Azteca.

When I tried each part by itself, I was underwhelmed, but together, the flavors blended perfectly. Definitely give all their sauces a try. The red was a perfect chili sauce with all flavor and no heat - savory and bitter. The green was the spiciest and had a very fresh flavor. The creamier ones were both "meh" for me. I think they were just mayonnaise mixed with the normal 2.

Service wasn't very fast, but they are not a fast food location, so it's understandable. The only real complaint was not having our water refilled...

This is a new establishment going to open at the end of this month 08/30/24. Even under remodeling had a great time. The hamburger 🍔 was fresh, tasty and very delicious. Pleasant, environment, the music was enjoyable, taking me back to a romantic evening with my senorita. The restaurant was very clean. This will be my restaurant to stop and enjoy a meal. Try it out and let others know. Management are very pleasant and professional. Thanks for the great food and pleasant environment. I would have given them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Every time I have tried to get a machaca burrito to be told that they are out. Finally gave up on trying to get the breakfast burrito of my choice after 3 times and decided on lunch instead. For lunch I ordered a chile relleno. When I picked it up it was a TINY portion... It felt like I was carrying an almost empty Styrofoam box out of there. I wasn't even given hot sauce or utensils.
