Cousin Vinny's Pizza — Restaurant in Huber Heights

Vinny's has changed their delivery area in the last couple of years, and they no longer directly deliver to my address. Postmates had a promo offer, so I decided to try delivery through them.

The Postmates menu for delivery is so wonky. You can't submit special instructions for anything. If you want to do a half and half pizza, you have to create a custom pizza and pay for each topping, ($1.19 per topping). The app charges extra for regular pizza sauce on the pizza, (94 cents extra). Extra sauce is the only free selection for sauce preference. The prices are already extremely inflated, ($20 just for a large one topping), so this is rather frustrating.

I ordered the Veggie Revival pizza, bread sticks, and a chocolate chip cookie. The last time I had the Veggie Revival pizza, was from the Siebenthaler location and it wasn't good at all. I used to love this pizza 10ish years ago. The pizza from Huber was made much better, but the extra sauce was too much for me. I fully blame the Postmates platform and their limited/ridiculous options and extra prices.

Everything was okay. Didn't quite hit the spot after I waited 2 hours and 16 mins for delivery, and everything was cold. The bread sticks were the best part. Again, fully blaming Postmates and not Vinny's.

Side note, I sent an email to Vinny's to let them know about the frustrations of the Postmates app and I did not hear back. I also reported the late and cold food to Postmates and they gave me a credit. Maybe, (hopefully), someone at Vinny's will see this and reach out. Until then, this is the feedback that I have. 🤷‍♀️

I prepaid and pre-tipped for my order, including clear delivery instructions: leave the food on the porch and ring the doorbell. These were ignored. The driver claimed "he wasn't told" even tough it was boldly printed on the receipt. The driver insisted on a signature, claiming it was required, only to present a second tip line. This wasn’t about protocol; it was about soliciting an additional tip. Signatures are useless on completed transactions.

This kind of bait-and-switch undermines trust. When I tip in advance, I expect the delivery to honor my instructions, not to be pressured into a second transaction at the door. It’s not just inconvenient, it’s manipulative.

Cousin Vinny’s, if you value your customers, please train your drivers to respect delivery notes and stop lying. Also, I think you can do better than 50 minute...

I’ve never had a bad experience with this location until this morning at about 2:30am on March 6th 2021 with a manager name Amber when I called to place my order she was very rude and I understand sometimes things can be overwhelming but you know sometimes that can happen when your busy but it’s your job to make sure you costumers are satisfied at all times after I placed my order more money was taken off my bank card then the price that was told to me so I gave them a call back to question it and the Manager Amber goes on to say well are you on welfare or is this a EBT card because the numbers you gave me is some type of government assistance card which it’s not then she hung up on me as manager she should have not came at me like that it’s very unprofessional and I will be calling in on her I will never ever spend my hard earned money there again that amber assumed I received from...
