Bosco’s Pub — Restaurant in Hudsonville

If a restaurant is going to have hardly anything besides burgers on the menu, those burgers had better knock my socks off. My burger did not. The food is OK, but everything tastes like your standard foodservice food heated up according to package directions. I can buy food from Gordon Food Service and heat it up also; I am not interested in paying someone $20 to do this for me.

I know what it tastes like when a burger is made from fresh ground beef on premises, and this was not that. This was a slightly dry, slightly burnt perfectly round puck of beef.

The chicken on our quesadilla was 100% seasoned fajita chicken from a bag, I would stake my mint David Robinson rookie card on it. I don't mind getting that from a concession stand at a football game but not at a restaurant.

Service was OK, but everything took forever and there's not much to look at besides painted cement block walls.

I'd much rather give good marks to a local business, but sorry, there's absolutely nothing compelling me to give this place another shot.

ADDENDUM: Dear owner - did you really expect me to tell the server that I didn't think these were handmade burgers? What would she be able to do about it? I was disappointed and gave your restaurant 3 stars. Take the feedback and improve!...

My wife and I stopped at Bosco's Pub to kill time while our kid was at soccer practice. It's not a very big place, but offered a comfortable atmosphere.

From the menu I ordered the Steakhouse Burger. This was a Angus beef patty with Swiss cheese, caramelized onion, mushrooms, chipotle and A-1 sauce. I ordered mine with no mushrooms. The presentation was very nice. It came out on a tray lined with paper. It had a generous serving of crisp golden fries. The burger was served on a nice soft pretzel colored bun. The first bite was amazing! The flavor came in waves and were evenly balanced. You first tasted the char grill that wasn't over powering. Then the chipotle sauce and the A-1 alternated with each bite both complementing each other. The caramelized onions added a nice texture with each bite.

Absolutely delicious, probably the best burger I've ever had, flavor was perfect, it wasn't too messy, but just messy enough. French fries were perfect, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, seasoned perfectly. Same thing with the onion rings, you could take a bite and NOT have the onion slide out annoyingly. My husband said they were the best onion rings he'd ever had and I'd agree. We did order mozzarella sticks that were forgotten about, but they did give them to us eventually (they were also crispy and fresh and the cheese was melty too) and made it right by apologizing and did not charge us for the mix up. Atmosphere was so warm and friendly, felt clean and tidy inside. I finished every bit of food, and I'm usually the person who leaves like half and takes it home.
