Taqueria Los Machetes — Restaurant in Hueytown

Placed my order online. When I arrived, they had no record of my order, so I stood around waiting while they prepared it. Not to mention, they weren’t even remotely apologetic. Then, I check my bag and see that there are no chips and salsa…So I went back inside to ask if it should have come with them, and the girl says no while looking at me like that’s a crazy question to ask.

Won’t come here again. There are enough Mexican restaurants in the area that if you can’t even get chips and salsa with your order and place an order online, you might as well go elsewhere. Especially if it says on the website that it will be served with chips and salsa, and it’s not priced any cheaper than any of the others. Just saying.

And I’m updating to add that the food is extremely mediocre. Soggy enchiladas, the beans are awful, and the rice tasted ok, but I barely got any…DO...

Food had issues very cheap with chips and salsa for a party of 4 till we ask for some more. $0 Tip teas for 2 of us never refilled. Bottled soft drinks understood need soda fountain installed. The 2 shrimp fajita dinners ordered had to peel shrimp. The tilapia grilled dinner was according g to him MEH, My Nachos were Ok and correct as,l asked for no lettuce could of atleast put a few more beans some red sauce and guacamole on them.Need to learn CUSTOMER SERVICE. Too PRICY FOR THE LACK OF. May give another chance with some gift cards.

The beef burrito I had had very little beef and it was stuffed in the back of the tortilla, speaking of, the tortilla was dry. The salsa is very watery with little to no taste. The chips were stale and unsalted. I got the 20oz mango margarita and it had more of an orange taste and was definitely made with syrup that was watered down and could not taste the tequila (that could just be me). The atmosphere was still and felt very uncanny, I don’t know if it was the paint on the walls or what. The staff we interacted with spoke little to no English and it coincides with the menu as well.
