I heard a lot of good things about this place and I decided to try it out for myself, but after the rude and poor customer service I experienced, I will never go back to patronage this establishment. I drove from Huntsville (2 hours away) to patronize this business so I called when I was 30 minutes away to place my order and the woman who answered the phone was not helpful at all when I asked how long would it take for the order to be ready. She just flatly and sharply stated “not long”. I was going to press her for more details on the time but it was obvious that she was irritated and her attitude wasn’t conducive. I waited in the 45 minute drive through line and later found out that I didn’t have to wait and that I could of had just walked up to the front door but that wasn’t communicated with me when I called in. To make matters worse, I experienced the worse attitude I have ever experienced in my life from “Christy” (a heavy set Caucasian woman) who barged out the front door to berate me for parking in the wrong spot and not “following directions”. She was rolling her neck and talking to me like a child. I was stunned and I had to work hard to suppress my natural inclination to not meet her at her low level. I responded that I didn’t know the process and she cut me off and yelled that I did because she heard someone tell me. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and Amy arrived and basically just told me that everyone complains on her. And after reading Google reviews from other people, it seems like she (Christy) is the reason for all the bad reviews. No business should employ people that talk to people that way and if they do after all of these reviews, she must represent how the owners feel about the customers that patronize this business. Christy is a bad look for race relations in Alabama because she is the type that perpetuates the image of the “white trash” reputation that’s associated with some people in the south. My parents and grand parents used to tell me about how poorly we were spoken to while giving them our money and Christy reminds me of that. The bar b que is not as good to over shadow the treatment and poor service you will get...
Read moreSo went through the drive through to get my mother a pulled pork sandwich plate today and looked at the sandwich and it was extremely dry. So went in and asked the people at the desk if I could have extra sauce because the sandwich was dry. She (with rainbow colored hair) said sure. Then came back and said we charge for extra sauce in very rude condescending way. I said well I did not know that . Then she said well you can just bring it back in and we can put more sauce on it. I was shocked at that because well food is not supposed to be exposed back and forth from outside to be handled again inside. So she took the plate to the back where there was a Mexican cook who looked upset that I wanted more sauce. Guess what he did, HE POURED ALMOST A WHOLE GALLON OF IT ON THE SANDWICH COVERING AND DRIPPING IN THE WHOLE PLATE ON EVERYTHING THEN LAUGHED ABOUT IT. The rainbowed haired employee felt that I had no right to be angry and that I should have just accepted it. Before I knew it, I SNAPPED. Now at this point the pretty manager who's makeup and hair is always flawless came over and asked in a very professional way if I would like my money back or for it to be redone. I requested for it to be redone. It was done correctly this time. But what the horrible cook did was a waste of the company's expensive product and time and ESPECIALLY EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND PETTY!!! The customer service of the staff is VERY FLAWED now. The service and food is not the same. I was considering using them to cater, my grandmother who is currently dying, funeral. BUT NOOO WAY ON GOD"S GREEN EARTH NOW!! If the staff is that devious and evil because your food is not right; who knows what else they will do to your food in anger. At this point they are playing a dangerous game with the continued success of their business, simply because of a horrible staff. I loved the professionalism of the manager, but she needs to watch the people she has working for her as they could ruin the company's reputation...
Read moreI'm disabled veteran who visited Uncle Sam's on 7-2-2018 in which I received the worst customer service in restaurant history in my opinion. Just one month earlier I ordered two slab of ribs and gallon of baked beans as I always do and today, I was charged nearly 10.00 more. No big deal however, I just wanted to know simply why the increase in the price. The attitude changed. The workers demeanor became hostile then they slammed the window in my face. I blew horn to identify which pan was ribs or beans and they didn't wanted to respond to that. All I did was asked a valid question and I showed the worker my bank statement of when I purchased the same thing and she close window again and put her back to me laughing with other coworkers and talking. Some other worker came out from nowhere being more rude than the other one was. When I finally got her attention to talk the head in charge to explain the rude behaviors, Mr. Sam came out storming and demanded me to leave his premises. I showed him my statement and he dismissed my concerns of the price change and close the window on me. I asked for the cashier's name and was told we dont give out names just different prices. All the front workers laughed as he closed the widow. In shock to receive this kind of service in America shows we have a long way to go. They don't you to ask any questions just take your money. The price didn't matter to me but the attitude was everything to me. I told Mr. Sam to have a beautiful day and drove off. I will forgive their rude behaviors and I pray no one black or any other color is never treated this way. We veterans put too much of us on the line. We shouldn't have to come home to this. Please Mr. Sam read my review and pray you and your drive thru workers be fair in not only the prices but how you treat the people who patronize your business. You never know who you do business with. It's really not that deep but it the principle of it all. Have a beautiful day....
