We came to this place after spending most of our day on the beach, it was still sunny outside, and we had a nice waiter, but… Unfortunately it took way too long for the food to come out, we were informed of the limited chefs they had in the back. My dinner was served to me more than an hour after my whole party finished their food we sat down around 7pm my food did not come out until (9pm). We were ultimately given a discount, but to be fair a discount doesn't make it right. We also had to ask for refills of water, we weren't given small serving plates until after we asked. I take pride into giving huge tips, but unfortunately this place showed me that they cannot work under pressure, and they need a better business plan to execute better in these type of situations. We also noticed another party that sat behind us ended up leaving even though they still had food coming out (they had been gone for almost half an hour). When situations like this arise, I would suggest limiting your menu to not put extra stress on the entire staff, due to not having enough cooks. Good luck I wish I could have had a good experience like the rest of the reviews.
Update:05/22/2022 Officially done with this place I stated this in my previous review I should have known better. This second visit made it very clear that this place lacks the drive to actually dish out real exquisite food, We were never contacted regarding if a table became available after putting our party on the waiting list, once we were seated drinks were ordered and forgotten, our waitress ultimately did not seem like she was enthusiastic about being at work, not once were we offered water or even asked how our food tasted. I felt embarrassed that I had to pull the waitress aside after we were done and explain to her that this isn't how you serve fish and chips. It isn't her fault but when she agreed stating this is how it should be served, I asked for her to allow the chef to know this isn't acceptable, I'm pretty sure the chef was never notified. This place needs some serious changes, it's appalling that people decide to jump into this industry with a clear lack of passion for serving food the correct way, our waiter could have been more enthusiastic about being our server, from the first visit and now this visit I am all set. Read moreA friend of mine and myself went to this restaurant today mainly because my friends blood sugar was low and we needed to get him some food. When we were sat at the table we ordered two waters. A few minutes later a our waiter came up to us saying that we were cut off from drinks even though we had only ordered water and stated we were here only for food. After the waiter tells us we were cut off he then asked us if he could get us any drinks which definitely confused the both of us. My friend ordered a sushi roll and I ordered a plate of steak tips. After about ten minutes my friend received his roll. Another ten minutes passes by and the waiter came to tell us the plates were made in two separate kitchens which is pretty understandable. Another 10-15 minutes passes by and the waiter reminded us that the plates were made in two separate kitchens and that's why there was a wait. Another ten minutes passes (probably 45 minutes since we ordered) and the waiter came up looking confused asking me if I had received my plate. By this time my friend had already eaten his entire meal and we told the waiter we wanted the check just for the sushi and the waiter insisted that he was going to check on the food ignoring our request. Another ten minutes passes and my meal is finally brought out and I asked the busser to have the waiter get the check. More time passes and the waiter walked by us deliberately ignoring us even when we called out for him. We watched as he cashed out multiple other customers around us and seemingly intentionally ignore us. Finally after three times of asking we finally get the check. We attempted to pay with a card and he told us the card was declined due to the bank. We found this incredibly odd and gave a other card as payment. This payment went through. We contacted the bank and they said they had no failed transaction or transaction attempt on the initial card.

Read moreWent here last night for dinner with my better half and our girls and it was ok. We sat inside as the wait for outside was at least half an hour longer.
We started with appetizers.. The calamari was good though it was served with tartar sauce and no red sauce, not a big deal but when we asked for another tartar sauce it took so long to get it we didn't need it anymore. The stuffed clams were delicious. These are a favorite so we order them where ever we go and these were exceptionally good.
For dinner the tacos the girls ordered and the smash burgers my fiancee and I each ordered were all delicious with the burgers coming with "some pink" in them as ordered. Fries were underdone and not crispy but that's probably nit picking. Overall the food was good.
Our biggest complaints were slow service as we always had empty glasses, drinks were expensive and the main food menu, other than the Beach Fare or whatever they called it, seemed way over priced and a bit pretentious for Nantasket Beach.
We'll probably go back for one more try though only if we can sit outside as there are plenty of good places to eat there but few...
