We had issues with the server, not coming back. It took them forever to take our orders and bring out the appetizers. The waitress literally disappeared, whether she left we don't know. We only know that we weren't the only table affected by the issues. Outside of the service issue, the food was fantastic. I don't usually get five stars just for fantastic. What we ordered: Stuffed clam - had good flavor, but had an overwhelming amount of breadcrumbs, and was on the mushy side. Portuguese stew- very good flavor and seasoning, seafood is very fresh, and the potatoes are perfectly cooked. Dozen oysters, fresh- great flavor, at first it was a tad briny, but it went down delicious. They also do a very thick, grated horseradish with a cocktail sauce. I love the horseradish! Half lobster mac & cheese - again also, very good flavor, the mac & cheese itself could've use a little more salt. Fish and chips - very good portion, also very moist and flaky Kids chicken strips - kids liked it Kids pasta - kids like it

Went back to the Parrot when they opened after the Covid-19 shut down. Was very impressed with our server, very welcoming and fun to talk to during our dinner. She was helpful with the menu and did a outstanding job. My wife and I ate inside and had the room to ourselves for the start of our dinner. The gluten Free clam chowder is still AWESOME. Dinner & drinks were fantastic, very relaxing for us. Can't wait to go back! Tried The Parrot for the 1st time and was impressed. Wait Staff was great, our waitress was well trained, fun and did a great job. Good menu and drinks There were 5 of us and we decided to eat inside. You can't beat the view! Gluten Free Clam Chowder was awesome! I couldn't tell it was GF. We had an order of the Mussels and they definitely did not disappoint. Fish & Chips were incredible, I had the burger which I enjoyed very much. We all enjoyed our lunch and can't wait to go back. When all the renovations are done this restaurant should be a mainstay for years to come.

We came to this place after spending most of our day on the beach, it was still sunny outside, and we had a nice waiter, but… Unfortunately it took way too long for the food to come out, we were informed of the limited chefs they had in the back. My dinner was served to me more than an hour after my whole party finished their food we sat down around 7pm my food did not come out until (9pm). We were ultimately given a discount, but to be fair a discount doesn't make it right. We also had to ask for refills of water, we weren't given small serving plates until after we asked. I take pride into giving huge tips, but unfortunately this place showed me that they cannot work under pressure, and they need a better business plan to execute better in these type of situations. We also noticed another party that sat behind us ended up leaving even though they still had food coming out (they had been gone for almost half an hour). When situations like this arise, I would suggest limiting your menu to not put extra stress on the entire staff, due to not having enough cooks. Good luck I wish I could have had a good experience like the rest of the reviews. Update:05/22/2022 Officially done with this place I stated this in my previous review I should have known better. This second visit made it very clear that this place lacks the drive to actually dish out real exquisite food, We were never contacted regarding if a table became available after putting our party on the waiting list, once we were seated drinks were ordered and forgotten, our waitress ultimately did not seem like she was enthusiastic about being at work, not once were we offered water or even asked how our food tasted. I felt embarrassed that I had to pull the waitress aside after we were done and explain to her that this isn't how you serve fish and chips. It isn't her fault but when she agreed stating this is how it should be served, I asked for her to allow the chef to know this isn't acceptable, I'm pretty sure the chef was never notified. This place needs some serious changes, it's appalling that people decide to jump into this industry with a clear lack of passion for serving food the correct way, our waiter could have been more enthusiastic about being our server, from the first visit and now this visit I am all set. Below are pictures of fish and chips, when served it seems as if you're receiving a whole fish but in actuality the over breading makes it seem that it is.

This place is awesome. The former Red Parrot had a few reincarnations before being purchased by a high quality local restaurateur. I like how they kept the original spirit of the place with the name, Parrot, and doing a complete remodeling of the interior and exterior. The roof deck is amazing, the bar is slick and complete, and they serve (currently) the best Lobster Roll in town! Currently, ordering and takeout is streamlined, and they even offer takeout cocktails that are quite good. I’m really impressed by the establishment’s ability to adapt to the current dining climate. They make delicious duck, seafood and a bunch of other favorites and originals alike. PLEASE don’t go anywhere Parrot!!

I held my daughter’s wedding shower here and I can’t begin to tell you how great a job they did. We dealt with Chris who was right on top of things. Upon arrival he and his crew assisted us in unloading the car, setting up the flowers, decorations, signs, etc. The food was absolutely delicious and set up in a very attractive buffet style. My favorite dish was the Braised Ribs, with the chicken and mushrooms coming in at a close second, followed by the baked scrod. All were cooked to perfection , including the creamy mashed potatoes! The scenery was beautiful. The beach is right across the street and the rooftop room where we held the shower had a perfect view of Nantasket Beach.

Awesome restaurant with the beach right across the street! Delicious food, nice bar with big TVs to watch sports and friendly staff. Wait time for outside is long during peak hours, so pick inside for usually no wait time.
