Read moreThe pizza itself was good, but thats all. The service was TERRIBLE!! We are from out of state and had seen good reviews about this place over others and decided to come here, instead of the pizza place near our hotel. We walked into silence, no hello, hi, or welcome or anything. We sat down at one of like 25 tables, only two of which were occupied and sat for at least 5 minutes before he got up and went to the counter. He asked the chubby, brown haired girl with glasses if we had to order at the counter and she said " uh, yeah" with an attitude. So he told her we would like a large pepperoni pizza. He went to walk away and she said "um, payment?" And he said he did not know he had to pay right away, seeing as we were dining in. So he paid. We asked for some cups for water and were given small bathroom plastic cups, enough for two ice cubes. Our pizza came out in a reasonable time and the cook brought it out. We both said thank you as he sat it down and he never said a word, no youre welcome, can I get you anything else, nothing. We looked at the tables and saw there were no parmesan, red pepper flakes, oregano or anything on them. Once we saw them at the counter, I got up to get them and was finally able to eat. There was no silverware, but we did not need it anyways. We, once again, had to walk up to the counter for a to go box. The restaurant should really have an "order here" sign at the counter and maybe have a friendlier staff, especially a new counter girl. I could not believe they actually had a tip jar there either! Food can be good, but service makes it memorable. Will not recommend. Worst customer service at a pizza...
Read moreThis is some great pizza. If you are from the northeast, as I am born and raised in NJ, you will appreciate this pizza. I did several tests to verify this pizza. I think most importantly is the crust. It has to be the perfect thickness(or thinness), it has to have just the right amount of crunch, and the right amount of water. If you're from the northeast you know what I mean when I say that the crust has to be very specific. This crust is rated 9 and a half out of 10. 10 being actual Brooklyn style. The sauce is delicious. I would rate it 9 out of 10. The cheese is great. I would rate it 9 and a half out of 10. The last test I did was fold my slice and start eating it and checking to see how much oil falls on the plate. Now, if you're from the northeast you know that we eat our pizzas folded and by the time we're done there's some good, juicy oil residue on the plate. Depending on the amount of oil it let's you know how authentic the pizza is. So this pizza I'm happy to say passed the test. I hope I didn't forget anything for those that are truly interested in how authentic this pizza is. Oh yeah, they do have cheese, garlic salt, and dried pepper in the authentic glass shakers to sprinkle on your pizzas. That's definitely a must if you're going to call yourself Brooklyn pizza! Prices are fair. I bought two slices of cheese and one slice of pepperoni and a drink for 10 dollars. We're in November 2020 as I write this, so prices will definitely change eventually. An XL(18 inch) pie of half cheese, half pepperoni was approximately $17. Not bad at all. I would definitely recommend this...
