I live in Concord, NC and the closest Outback to me is Concord Mills location and 2nd is IKEA Blvd. I In I never myself by driving all the way to the Huntersville location due to the fact that mom frequents this location and had recently brought me food from this location that was great quality and taste. I arrived to check my order to discover that the batter on the chicken tenders was different than it was 2 weeks prior when I had the same meal from this location. I told the curbside server and she went and got a manager. A female manager by the name of Sam approached my vehicle very serious, not friendly or welcoming. I explained my concern and she was combative, argumentative and dismissive and instead of listening and finding a way to rectify the situation she argued me down that the batter had been the same. I asked if she was the only manager available and she told me no. I also told her the salmon was not presentable. Sam offered no apology and no offer to remake the meal. Instead she rudely responded and said “I didn’t box it . It’s just turned over on the wrong side .” Why is it on the wrong side? Rushing. Salmon was supposed to come with rice that I never received. The complimentary bread was old and cold. The Mac and cheese bites were dry, hard and bland tasting.
She went and got another manager and he even stated that the correct batter wasn’t used for the chicken tenders and apologized and remade the tender meal and the salmon meal. Even after remaking it, the tenders were still not to my liking and definitely looked like a kids portion and not a dinner portion. He did remove the tenders only off of my check. Prior to doing so, the bill was $65.44.
Both baked potatoes that came with both meals were an awful texture and inedible. That night I ended up with an awful rash on my face. It was a breakout from the food I had eaten and that was my first meal of the day. In addition, I couldn’t even get out of bed the next day because I was literally sick to the stomach. $40.03 down the drain. I will not return. The food sucked.
Sam has a disgusting disposition to be a manager. She was extremely defensive and rude and cared nothing about rectifying the situation and making me the customer happy. My teenage boys and I decided to treat ourselves and have the Outback prepare and cook our meal for we worked hard, hungry, and feeling lazy Sat. Night to cook. Placing Order for pickup went gracefully over the phone with an extremely nice pleasant sounding lady guiding us through our choices. The wait period came fast when we received a text message indicting our food was ready (40 mins). We pulled up handed my debit card and seconds later big bag sealed tight and my receipt to sign. Bill was $116.00 added $20 tip signed it and handed it back mentioning I thought the lady said $77.00 but food in bag was ours ticket had correct name - no worries we were starving and it smelled terrific and off we went.
Well, pulling into driveway I receive call from Outback stating there were 2 tickets with same name and since I mentioned different amount the server checked with manager and sure enough I paid for the higher bill.
This is what sets a business apart instead of having me come back and run my card for lesser amount and food would been cold they comp'd the entire meal. Said sorry for mistake reversed charge absolutely shocked, incredible management and staff working together as team brought joy and best tasting Prime Rib, Steaks, shrimps, potato, creamed spinach, fries, Mac cheese and onion soup to our table. Read moreHad a very bad experience here. So here's a story, my family had gotten to this place and sat down 30 minutes before I had arrived. I told them I wanted a Dr. Pepper to drink when I got there, I've been driving for 6 hours at this point. Hadn't eaten in roughly about 7 hours since I didn't want to stop. Arrived here, walked in and found everyone, come to find out that no only have they been seated for 30 mins, on a Thursday night at that, but no one had even came by to place drink orders. They never told the waitress that served us that they needed another set of silverware or they were waiting on someone because no one came by. At this point I was restless and had been sitting in a car for 6 hours. I was upset, it wasn't busy in the restaurant like at all. We had to remind her 5 times to bring another set of silverware so I could have some by the time my food came out. Food came out and I had to wait another 15 minutes just to tell her that I still haven't received my silverware.
I never had any good service here at this restaurant, would not recommend anyone to come here. I would've rather went all the way down to the university one to get better service. They might not have noticed we left, since no one came and helped us for 30 minutes. Unsatisfied customer.
