Ron's Place — Restaurant in Huntingburg

The first time I went here it was okay. The staff were pretty friendly from what I can remember and my girls and I all had a good time. But I went again on 3/31/23 and it was an AWFUL experience. I'm not sure what the bartenders name was but she was very unfriendly and unprofessional to myself, my boyfriend, his mom, and to a few other friends we had a long. Lana (my boyfriend's mom) was talking to a gentleman at the bar while we were all waiting to be waited on and mentioned something about leaving soon and the bartender assumed she was making that comment because of the slow service, which she was not. The comment was in reference to a friend that she came with but regardless of us trying to explain that she was still very rude to us and you could tell she had no time for us and didn't want to deal with us. I even politely explained the situation to her and she could not have cared less she just nodded and continued waiting on people. I mean the least she could have done was apologize for her assumption and rudeness and we could have all pushed it aside. After all of that happened i asked if we were allowed to smoke in there and she LAUGHED and said yeah there's ashtrays everywhere. Honestly I didnt even notice them but I just wanted to be respectful. Then when I was ordering my food I ordered it as it was listed on the menu which was a half order of cheese fries and add chili for me. She looked at me like I was stupid and said do you mean chili cheese fries. I told her I was just ordering what it said on the menu and she took the menu from me and said oh they must have updated it. A lot of rude bartenders who don't know how to make a lot of drinks. A fun place to go if you're an alcoholic with low standards. You won't (probably won't) meet anyone worth dating there, so go to the Overtime for THAT. The reason for the 3 stars....the absolute best, best, BEST pizza I've had anywhere in my life. Get delivery or takeout. With all this being said, the owner, Bobby, is a pretty alright guy. He just needs to hire better help and fix the appalling...

We ordered ribs, pizza, cheese fries, and salad and had them deliver to our hotel in Jasper. The ribs were very meaty, tender, and the sauce was wonderful. The pizza -- a simple pepperoni and cheese pizza was one of the best I've ever had. Crispy crust and generous portions of cheese and pepperoni. The cheese fries were crispy, cheesy, and delicious.
