I got a share because I usually don’t do a lot of reviews. And I’m not a fan of negative reviews but I’m actually pretty mad that I threw money away today.
I came in an ordered a few pieces of pizza that is just reheated pizza not fresh so wasn’t expecting anything special . And it was so so . Not good . Not horrible . That was ok
However I thought I’d order pasta, so we can eat it for dinner . To share . I ordered chicken picatta . It was 22 dollars which I thought was expensive however I’m not a super picky Eater and it sounded good . He said 10 min to cook . Was “ to go “ .
We waited for 15 or so , about 10 min of waiting he informed me they have no mushrooms . I was like ok fine . Leave em off . Food done . Drove home . Took it out of bag and opened it . I was confused .
First off it looked like dry noodles , no sauce . Some tiny pieces of artichoke heart . And about 1/8 cup tiny pieces of chicken . So needless to say this was not what I ordered .
I took a few bites and now I’m pissed . It tastes like dry overly cooked noodles with zero taste not even salt . And no sauce . The tiny chicken pieces tasted soggy and disgusting . So basically I paid 22 dollars to eat dry noodles and soggy chicken bits that had zero flavor , seasoning or sauce , and a little water at the bottom of the container . Was absolutely disgusting 🤢!!! I tried to make it edible by trying to put butter and lemon on top but I couldn’t make it edible . I want my money back...
Read moreBurtucci's is as close to NY pizza as Huntington Beach, CA is to Huntington, Long Island. The cheese breaks instead of pulls, the sauce is basic, and the crust has the same consistency as the cheese, which makes eating the pizza feel like pizza flavored bubble gum.
Not only that, but when I asked if they could please leave jalapenos off of one slice so that my 5-year-old son could eat it without feeling it was too spicy, the guy taking the order told me they can't do that. They can only do halves. I wasn't asking for a discount and it's not rocket science fellas. I just wanted one slice worth of the pizza to not have jalapenos on it. Nope. We can't do that. Okay. Fine. Hopefully the pizza is great, also nope. "NY Pizza"? C'mon.
I guess if you are hungry and you want a single slice it might be better, but a "fresh" pie almost made me want to throw up.
If you want a great pizza and you want quality ingredients, go to riip Pizzaria on Magnolia. It's worth the in house order and the wait and they care about their pizza.
Burtucci's.... either take down the "NY Pizza" from the sign or add the word "Sewer" between NY and Pizza. So disappointing on every level. I'm posting photos of the place which looks nice and you may have a different experience but mine was absolutely awful. I would have been better off cooking the Albertsons signature frozen pizza from my freezer.
I won't be ordering...
Read moreOrdered a steak and mushroom calzone. When arrived I tell the heavy set zit faced lady I was here to pick up a steak and mushroom calezone.
She says OK and then rings up a ham and jalapeno and when I look perplexed, she said it's the same price for any 2 ingredients.
45 minutes after ordering I arrive home and we start to eat the calezone....Very salty and no steak in it.
I call back to complain and she said they made me a bacon and mushroom.....I said it was bad and I just want a refund.
They told me I had to come back in with my card to get refund.
I pack up the food and start to drive back for my refund. On my way back someone calls and insists that she heard the other lady confirm my order and they weren't going to give me a refund.
Told them I was on my way back and I wanted to talk to the owner.
When I got there they refused a refund and to give me owners name a number. Threatened to call security on me.
I left, called my bank, cancelled the charge!
Lost almost two hours of my Saturday night.
I don't mind when people make a mistake but it is unacceptable to try to hide the mistake when I got there and then try to blame the customer when they call in later to get a...
