*Capone’s Cucina Last week my husband and I dined at Capone’s Cucina an Italian restaurant in Huntington Beach. The ambiance of the indoor dining area is quant and classy. My husband and I were greeted by the Owner/ Chef Dino, who was most accommodating and friendly. It was a nice summer afternoon so we choose to dine in the patio area. It gave us the feel of being in Italy and we were able to catch the breeze off the ocean which slipped in every so often. There were delightful pictures and plants hanging all around us and a beautiful fountain. Within a moment we were greeted with a very warm smile and “hello my name is Brian and I will be your server today.” He handed us menus and was back quickly with our drinks and delicious warm bread. Chef Dino came back to our table before we ordered and talked with us for a while. My husband is very cautious when it comes to eating out. He eats healthy and usually will ask if the menu is diabetic friendly. Chef Dino was most helpful and gave a recommendation that turned out to be splendid! Tim had Pollo Di Arugula and I had the Farfalle ‘O Sole Mio, I made a little request to Brian to ask if the chef would add caramelized onions to my dish and it was no problem. Both of our entrées were Magnifeco! Chef Dino came back to our table again to see if we were satisfied with our choices. He then shared that he had several other restaurants and that each one is giving the customer something different. It was at that time, we shared with him that we would definitely be back and would in fact try the other restaurants in the future. Brian, our server was exceptional. He provided us with excellent customer service and professionalism to the very end. But just when we thought it could not get any better… Brian wowed us with the dessert tray. Oh my I just could not resist! I choose the Lemon cheesecake with the sprinkles and fresh sliced strawberries for garnish. All I can tell you is; I felt like singing Ava Marie! - When Brian returned to ask if I was enjoying it, all I could do was smile and wink. He was happy and then told us compliments of Chef Dino! Upon completing my dessert, we were approached by a nice gentleman who wanted to clear my plate. He was so polite and professional I asked his name, and gave him a compliment. “Hindre”, he replied and went on to tell us that it was his first day and he was a bit nervous, wanting to make no mistakes. We both told him that we would have never known. Continue to do what you’re doing my friend, you‘re doing a great job! Our experience at Capone’s Cucina was perfect in every way! We look forward to our next visit; hats off to chef Dino! Sincerely...
Read moreWhere do I begin? Yes one goes to a restaurant for food but I can cook some mean Italian myself!! At Capone’s it was not just the food that blew my socks off but the ambience, the service, the personal attention…everything. We had a friend visiting from out of town staying at a hotel in Huntington Beach so we decided to do the drive and take her here. The reviews were good so it was an easy decision but the reviews do not do any justice to this place. I’d give it 20 stars!! Taylor is a rock star! Whilst service standards are dwindling all over the country, people like her make it enjoyable to dine out. I can write more about Taylor but you go check it out for yourself. Ask for her as your server. I’m sure other servers are just as awesome and that is a big compliment to the owners who, I’m sure spend a lot of time training these wonderful people. Now compliments to the chef for a meal for royalty. The presentation, the taste, the portion everything excellent. The calamari and bruschetta were excellent starters. We had a 16oz bone in ribeye. Done perfectly MR as requested. Served with truffle fries- my guilty pleasure!! The pasta à la vodka is the best I’ve ever tasted. Even better than mine 😂 The grilled veggies made an excellent accompaniment. I wanted to have everything on the dessert tray but my wife stopped me the tiramisu and crème brûlée- both home made were plate licking good.
Great drinks from the bar and a good selection of wine rounded off the evening and we took some leftovers home and they made for a good steak and eggs for breakfast the next morning. Congratulations to the owners. I can see your passion come through in every bite and every...
Read moreAmazingly authentic Italian restaurant.
Googled an Italian restaurant and this was the first and closest to home that popped up on my screen. Decided to give it a try. The inside of the restaurant was elegant and loved the fact it was dark, it got my wife and i In the mood for wine. I ordered some Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles, I believe, not many options but Cabernet is my favorite. My wife in the other hand had a glass of moscato. We weren’t really going to order appetizers but the server insisted in the calamari. It’s just fried food right?, plain and simple. The calamari was cooked firm and crispy yet soft and tender in the inside and Nice portioned size plus two tiger shrimps served with spicy marinara, very Delicious. Second glass of wine ready for our dinner. My wife ordered the simplest menu item which was just cheese ravioli, her favorite are lobster ravioli but this wasn’t an option in this menu. Good portions, real good chunky marinara and flavorful. I in the other hand order veal Marsala. The veal medallions were super tender and absolutely fell in love with their Marsala sauce, a bit heavy on the wine over powering the cream and fresh herbs but still a perfect dish. We will definitely dine again do to the quality, authenticity, ambient, and staff.
Just dined in for the 2nd time, had the lamb racks and I still keep my 5 star rating decision. Service and food...
