If you're a cookie lover in Huntington Beach (or just have taste buds), Chip is an absolute must-visit. This adorable, family-owned bakery is tucked in the same shopping center as Motherâs Market, Que Vida Tacos, and Caponeâs, and itâs a total gem. Think cozy, boutique cookie shop meets gourmet dessert bar. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the sweetest, most passionate staff who clearly care about their craftâand their cookies show it. Youâll find a mix of classic flavors like chocolate chip and sugar cookie alongside creative, rotating weekly flavors. When we visited, the flavor of the week was inspired by the iconic Girl Scout cookie formerly known as "Samoa"ânow "Caramel DeLite"âbut better. Iâm talking next-level delicious with rich chocolate, coconut, and actual homemade caramel. Theyâre not just good, theyâre unforgettable. What sets Chip apart from places like Crumbl is the cookie bar. Yes, a COOKIE BAR! You can actually customize your own cookie. Choose your base cookie (like a chocolate chip cookie without chips) and add all your favorite toppingsâwhether it's sea salt, toffee bits, or homemade whipped cream. Itâs like the ice cream sundae experience, but for cookies. Everything here tastes homemade, with fresh, high-end ingredientsâMaldon sea salt, real butter, housemade caramel. You can taste the quality in every bite. And bonus points: the space is super cute, with cozy spots to sit down and enjoy your treats right there. Support local and skip the cookie chains. Chip is the...
Read moreI visited CHIP in Huntington Beach on Jan. 27. First thing I noticed was the large customer area when you walked in which made it very welcoming. I think they had just opened for the day because I was the only customer, but was greeted by Hanna. I asked which cookies were baked most recently, and she said OG Chocolate Chip & Biscoff (which I think is the sugar cookie recipe, but with Biscoff inside??). The Chocolate Chip was spot on, and better than anywhere else I have visited. The Biscoff was good, but could have used crumbled up pieces of Biscoff on top of the cookie. I didn't realize they offered vanilla ice cream as well, so I was going to make an ice cream sandwich with my 2 cookies, but decided to just take the ice cream on the side. The Manager Kayson helped me check out, and by the register I noticed they sell cookie dough you can take home, so I purchased a 4-pack of those. Haven't baked them yet, but am looking forward to! Beautiful store and a welcomed addition to Huntington...
Read moreWarm and friendly service. It was my first time there & so I was given the overview of all the cookies available that day. Iâm soooo picky about cookies (dessert in general) and these are awesome. Warm, chewy with just tiny crusty edges. We had the one cookie thatâs called Bones. Imagine the most buttery chocolate chip cookie without the chocolate chips and itâs my favorite. Our second favorite was the salted bittersweet chocolate chip. The cookies are a little pricey, but Itâs a really good size & they have mini cookies which are like ânormal sizeâ and assorted. I also love that they are kept in a warmer. If you are into sweets, you can also add stuff like icing, nuts and such to the top of your cookies. If you love decadent cookies, give Chip a try! - HMMMâŠ..Chip, how bout a loyalty card? ;) Iâve been back twice now & guessing will keep returning. Also, maybe plant based milk for those of us who canât have cows...
