Nice family run place. Standard pizzaria menu cooked well with fresh ingredients. Except the salads aplentiful. Antipasto feeds two easy. Even the little side salad, free with some choices, I've never, never seen even a little brown wilting on the leaves. You'll get the side salad and tasty garlic bread with an excellent lasagna that you'll have trouble finishing. Prefer their wings over the major chain with buffalo and wings in their name. Those are my go tos besides the pizza which just seems like fresher better quality product (edible crust) and good cheese, sauce, bread ratio. Only a seat or two inside and outside of this place but delivery or carryout or they'll bring it to the lil beer n wine bar next door if you're so inclined. Don't let the small dated store front fool you, you can see and taste the love they're cooking with in there. Clean window ledges and windows👍 shows pride and attention. Can get busy during peak times, so what's that tell you? Moderate to fair prices depending on what you keeping adding to...
Read moreUnderwhelming…twice. I attempted to love this place because it is local and the employees are very kind. The service is great (both of my orders were phoned in for delivery) restaurant staff and delivery drivers are very friendly and helpful. The food is not good. The first time we ordered two pizzas. I would equate them to a pizza you can order at the convenience store in your neighborhood. The crust and sauce are bland. The second time I ordered we did two pizzas and a pasta to try out. The pasta I ordered was the fettuccine with chicken and broccoli. There was a thin layer of watered down Alfredo on the bottom of the to-go container and the pasta, chicken, and broccoli on top were all dry. The entire dish had no flavor. A little salt goes a long way 🫤 I feel like the people who say this is the best pizza are simply doing it to help out the local business which I can appreciate, but bad pizza is bad pizza. I hope they can make some...
Read moreI’m at Hanks Pizza right now and I just crushed a slice of plain pizza! He made it from scratch, which I’ve never seen done be for and I’m IMPRESSED! He didn’t just re-heat a slice and throw some extra cheese on the top! That’s a California thing I am not a huge fan of. I’m a native New Yorker, and have lived in California for 12 years. Hanks is now in my top five, California pizza favorites! Nothing compares to NYC pizza, but Hank’s is delicious AF, and I can’t wait to get more! Hank is SO nice, and has been around for 20 years, for good reason. I highly encourage anyone that loves pizza to support his small business, as he and his pizza warmed my heart and soul. Only such, genuinely nice and honest people have what it takes to make delicious pizza! Pizza is life! Do yourself a favor and Go feed your Heart and Soul at Hank’s West Pizza! And while you wait, chat him up to restore your faith in humanity....
