Food is good, but if you like to explore many different dishes in one sitting, they will make the portions much smaller if you order more than two dishes. We were a party of two, and ordered five dishes, because we like to supoort local businesses & try as many dishes as possible. Each dish was surprisingly small, which was disappointing, especially as we watched other tables around us order only two dishes, and get huge portions compared to what we recieved. I guess they didn't want us packing up leftovers, so they took the liberty to do portion control for us...that's not cool! This has happened three times here, so that's the third strike! It takes a lot for me to write a review that is less than stellar, because we support small HB business whole-heartedly, but these guys lost big time points for basically punishing us for throwing more money at them. My goodness, I love this place!!! The best Thai in OC for sure, and better than 90% of places I experienced in Thailand. I've travelled quite a bit through world, and this place is just solid and the price is fair. Went here twice today, two different meals. My gf and I love the drunken noodle with steak, even though she loves chicken, that's our favorite! Today I also got the green curry, and there's just this little extra something that makes it stand out from all the many other green curries. Including the drunken noodle, maybe, they somehow marinate their basil or something to make it exist in every bite at perfect presence and subtlety. LOVE... LOVE...LOVE PHUKET THAI!!! When one of the original locations in Belmont Shore of Long Beach closed, I found that this original location in Huntington Beach was available. I really miss the owners Ben and Maryanne, and their daughter Chandi, who owned all of the locations, but the staff here in HB is amazing as well. Very fast, efficient and friendly too. I LLOOVVEE their Bamboo Royal, Chicken Basil, Shrimp Rolls, and Veggie Fried Egg Rolls with the best sweet and sour dipping sauce! Great food, good atmosphere, and fantastic customer service.
