John's Philly Grille(we close early when we run out of fresh baked bread) — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

John's Philly Grille never disappoints. The bread is ALWAYS fresh and soft with a slight crunch to the crust. The meat is tender and flavorful. My GF and I always get the #1 with just the meat and cheese. My recommendation is that you order ahead of time and give yourself plenty of time to pick up your food. Not that it takes them a long to prepare orders. No, the sandwiches are so fresh and hot that the rising steam from the sandwich resembles an impending volcano eruption. These sandwiches are extremely hot in temperature. We also get Philly Fries and onion rings. They're just as fresh and just as awesome as the sandwiches! Saw and add on fb, decided to come down and give the place a try,even brought my wife along,gottta share the good news with someone. They were about to close when we arrived,but luckily for me the cashier was able to squeeze in a to go order for me. Ordered the famous Philly,my favorite,onios,pepper and mushrooms is a most, ordered a como with fresh fries and drink,also feel tempted to try their onion rings. Drove back home like 100 mph,was starving to death,but wanted to seat and enjoy🤤🤤🤤. The philly flavor was a bomb,meat tasted so fresh,their choice of bread is so delicious, it's the perfect combination for phillysteaks. Always a good meal, I've never been disappointed with the food or the service. If you're from the East Coast, you'll probably appreciate the fact they have Tasty Cakes Brand snacks, etc and some not-so-easy-to-find sodas, etc.

Although you come for the Philly Cheese Steak, I often find myself getting "The Godfather", a meatball and sausage sandwich. 1/2 is plenty, but I always seem to get the whole one (and usually eat it all! :-)).

The only thing about John's that disappointed me, was that they closed the location in Anaheim (which was just a few blocks from my house), so now I have to drive to HB to enjoy this East Coast Goodness, but I guess it makes it that much more special, and is an indication of how much I really...
