The short brown skinned Filipino/Mexican barista refused me service becoz of my 13 yr old service dog. At least thatās the ruse this man gave me .. I replied instantly that she has been my service dog for over 7 yrs ( a 13 yr old chihuahua ) he rolled his eyes and asked me what service does she provide? I responded and he again rolled his eyes and called his manager . His manager came over and accused me of swearing š³ . I explained I had been asked and I replied in kind Re my service dog. She then asked me a second time.. I responded⦠next min the customer in front of me turned and said that other people had ruined it for service dogs by coming into the store and thier dogs causing a ruckus. Loooool now I rolled my eyes and this is when it got serious for the managerā¦. She point we to the door and told me to get out she didnāt have to serve me. I have photocopies of my dogs registration in my County and State seal of California for the past 7 years ⦠I didnāt even bother to pull it out .. mortified at the Huntington Beach Coffee beans unified determination NOT to serve me. I am 6ā4ā kiwi brown skinned kiwi male and my beautiful service dog is a 9.2lb black Chiihuahua/Spaniel mix. After ordering 2 drinks totaling almost $15 for myself and my girlfriend, I realized that my drink had considerably less ice than I would anticipate for a large. I had not been to Coffee Bean in a number of years, so I just assumed this was the correct amount, however to my disappointment, within 5 mins, the ice was completely gone. I decided to go up to the counter to ask for a cup of ice to refill my depleted cup and enjoy the rest of my beverage. I was first asked whether I had purchased drinks, to which I replied yes, pointing to the table that my girlfriend and I were sitting at. I was then told I could get a cup of ice but I would have to pay 25 cents for a cup, which I opted against.
For me, it was not the 25 cents that is the issue, but the fact that I just spent $15 and was still asked to pay a fee for a cup after I was clearly given not enough ice to keep my large beverage cold.
Really disappointed and will not be returning as a result of the principle alone. I would understand if I had just walked in having not purchased anything, but to charge an additional amount on top a $15 purchase is just ridiculous in my opinion.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered from here on doordash and was completely disappointed. Was getting some food for my employee who came in last minute to help me out with a no-show from one of my other employees, so I wanted to get her some food to thank her and so she has some breakfast.
We ordered 2 drinks (1 each), 2 bagels, and 1 Cheese Danish which is what my employee chose. When we got our order, we realized the Danish was missing. I called this location and spoke with a girl, they hung up on me after I gave details on my order, and then they called back š¤·š½āāļø. When they called back, I spoke with a guy, and he was apologetic, and I can respect that they owned up to their mistake. My issue is that the guy i spoke to mentioned what may have happened. He admitted that the Danish was probably not ready by the doordash order pickup time, and they still sent the order out without fulfilling the whole order. Did not even bother notifying me or the dasher as to a missing item. Had to go through doordaah to get a refund, and they didn't even refund the full amount. A few bucks doesn't make a difference, but the principle and lack of respect for completing a customer order is appalling and disgusting. Hopefully, they get other people's orders right and don't ruin their days either. Will not be coming back here and will let my vip tier on...
