Well I mean I work at the cool out so I can honestly say that the atmosphere most definitely is phenomenal. The customer service from myself and my fellow coworkers is excellent I think. All customers walking to the cookout we try to make them feel at home as soon as they walk through about reading them and just making sure you know the customer comes first as far as to work at the coworker atmosphere with communication everyone gets along we make sure the food is cooked well and put out the door in a timely manner. One of my favorite things about this establishment is that there's no discrimination so I've got face tattoos and most places that I've been employed at won't let me be Hands-On with any customer. And the fact that I was placed in lobby one day upon request of the district manager to help him run lobby, that honestly blew me away because it was an action that I would never in a million years imagine what would have happened so it's exciting that my face tattoos that have held me back from being able to communicate with customers at all the other establishments that I've worked at to now being able to work with customers Hands-On regardless of the fact that I have face tattoos. So right there should say it all when it comes to the atmosphere how to cookout. They don't care that I have face tattoos because their perspective on the face tattoos is the same as mine which was I was young I made a poor decision to have him put on my face but that is not who I am today and they don't judge me for the artwork on my face instead I get welcomed like family every time I walk through the...
Read moreWe love Cook Out when we are traveling, since we don't have any near our home. We were driving through Huntington and saw there was Cook Out nearby and decided to stop for lunch. Having been on the road all morning, there were some of us in our family who needed to use the restroom facilities. After entering the building through an unlocked entrance door, we were asked to leave because, even though there is indoor seating and restroom facilities, at this location the drive thru window and walk up windows are currently only the only available dining options. We said we needed to use the restrooms, but we were told we needed to leave the building. We again told them we were going to order lunch, but needed to use the restrooms first. Again, we were told to leave the inside of the building. We then told the woman we would be spending our money elsewhere for lunch, who had no reply.
According to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources MANUAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PROCEDURES, "the provision of outside picnic tables is the same as a dining area and such establishments must provide public toilet facilities."
Because this location has no interest in listening to their customers regarding this, and the fact there was a pile of empty cardboard boxes four feet high blocking the entrance to the men's room, I’m tempted to report this to the...
Read moreFirst of all, the cashier, a young man was great! Smiling, friendly & helpful. The restaurant was clean, tables, etc were well kept. But...the food. Well, we each ordered a 'tray' which came with two sides. I got French fries and onion rings. I got three small onion rings which were so greasy that I had to put them on a napkin prior to eating. The burgers were hard and very chewy. For the positive now- my grand daughters milk shake was "so yummy" in her words. The fries were good albeit a bit room temperature. They were not busy and could have more effort into their food. I most likely won't go back. But, hey if you are in a hurry and don't mind just 'okay' food, go for it. Although, I recommend getting a shake and ask for fries with no salt which is probably what I should have done to be sure they would...
