Easily the BEST kitfo I’ve ever had.

I stopped by this Ethiopian grocery store that recently turned into a restaurant, and the manager insisted I try their kitfo. I wasn’t even planning to eat—but wow. It was insanely fresh, perfectly spiced, and made with homemade nitir kibbeh (Ethiopian spiced butter), which took it to another level.

You can taste the love and tradition in every bite. The mitmita had the right kick, the kocho and gomen were on point, and the texture was buttery and rich without being too heavy.

Did not expect to be this impressed. I’ll be back—for the kitfo and to try whatever else...

Hymi BBQ catered a special birthday event for us with over 100 people in attendance. The tender and flavor tibs was amazing. Hymi made sure all guests were well fed and happy by serving the zilzil tibs and chicken shishkebab outdoors and indoors. He stayed with us into the wee hours of the night and ensured that we had our tasty shiro. We are really grateful to Hymi for making our special day quite enjoyable and memorable.
