Viet House Restaurant Ltd — Restaurant in Huntington

I have eaten at this restaurant several times, and always had pretty good service, even though I think it would be nice if the wait staff spoke more English. They all seem pretty nice. My favorite dish in the vegetarian Bun with tofu pork. The spring roll that comes with it, neatly cut into slices and spread around the rim of the dish, is a nice compliment and quite tasty. It has a very fresh flavor, with diced carrots, cucumbers and some kind of dark green lettuce. Very filling! The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The service is good, but tonight they let me down. I got there a little after 8:30 (they close at 9:00). I was about 5 minutes past their closing time, finishing up my meal, when a waiter came over and gave me the check and asked me if I could pay then and there. The way he went about it seemed a little bit annoying to me, and he seemed to be trying to rush me. He wasn't even the one who originally took my order, but the manager did. I told him that was fine, but I often have to stay late at my job because of customers (like a half hour, and sometimes over an hour). I thought it was a bit ridiculous that 5 minutes after closing they were trying to rush me. They could have just brought the check to me and said "you can pay whenever you're ready," and I would have understood. But I found it a bit demanding and unprofessional. The manager seemed cool, and maybe I should have said something to him before I left, but I paid my bill and just wanted to get out asap. It's too bad, because I have eaten there many times and never been treated that harshly. Will it stop me from going back? My recent experience at Viet House was a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, the service was impressively fast. Our food was packed very quickly after ordering (as it was a carry out order) which is definitely a point in their favor if you're looking for a speedy meal.

However, the food itself wasn't quite what I was expecting. While it wasn't necessarily bad, it didn't quite live up to my expectations in terms of flavor and overall quality. So, in summary, if your priority is getting your food quickly and efficiently, Viet House definitely delivers on that front. If you're more focused on the nuances and specific flavors of Vietnamese cuisine, you might find it to be just okay. It's a decent option if you're in a rush, but perhaps not the best choice if you're looking for a more memorable...

Glad to find a nearby good Vietnamese Restaurant where we don’t have to drive to Eden Center. This place has a shared parking space and can only do indoor dining.

As soon as we entered the place we are greeted with a smile which is really nice. During our meal customers were in and out of this place. The restaurant is poured with natural lights because of their almost ceiling to floor windows. And the place is really neat.

The food was really good. It has a tasty broth for the pho. The vermicelli noodles is tasty and full of ingredients for how much it worth. You really get every dime you pay. The fresh rolls and its dip were also really good. The balance of savory and freshness.
