Brookins Smoken on the Go — Restaurant in Huntsville

Stopped in for the first time today for a quick sandwich to go. Lady was very nice and got straight to work on my food. Shortly thereafter she presented me with the beautiful thing you see pictured here! Unfortunately the flavors didn't do the looks of the sandwich any justice. The pork was so smoky that the entire thing tasted like a piece of mesquite charcoal. The smoke totally overwhelmed any flavor of the pork, the sauce and the slaw. I sincerely hope that I just caught them on an off day because if this sandwich had tasted as good as it looked, it would have been beyond...

We had the pulled pork, ribs, wings, fried green tomatoes, and sweet potato pie. As soon as we peaked into the go-boxes we knew it was going to be good, and it was! I regret not going by sooner as it is a newer place in the 5-points area and affordable! I will definitely be going back for the brisket and loaded nachos!

Finding the entrance was a bit of a challenge as there are multiple family businesses in that location. However, customer service was on point as a quick phone call was made and answered immediately to guide me to right door...

First off it took way to long for them to fix my food with mines being the only order. Second they were out of chicken and said they had cook the pork chops so I didn't get an extra meat with the special. Third the meat that was on top of the dressing had a loud smell to it and wasn't good. The dressing tasted like straight cornbread and like it had been in the freezer for a week or two.
