El Azteca — Restaurant in Huntsville

UPDATE: 2/8/2023: ALAS NIRVANA FOUND! My visit yesterday was outstanding and I think they have busted the nut on being the go to Mexican restaurant here in Huntsville, AL IMHO. I had the Bistec Azteca and it was the BOMBA! This place has transformed into an 'ALL GO AND NO SHOW" Mexican restaurant. Very good service and the food has just gotten a whole lot better. You should really disregard the exterior, clientele and location, go in, and have a wonderful experience. SHOUT OUT to all the other non-IP's (Indigenous Personnel) who have crossed over to the culinary dark side.

UPDATE 6/22/2022 Well they have moved into the 4 1/2 Star range rating. I visited this evening and ordered the 'mondo' seafood platter. Although impresive and tasty I was kinda disappointed... They list on the menu that it comes with a filet, but they don't tell you that it is a filet of fish, which was good as well but I was looking for a piece of steak as well! Needless to say I was let down, but this is a first world problem... the other items were wonderful and provided enough for a take home for tommorros lunch. Service was good as always. Health rating is up to 97. If you look at the mens rest room picture it's all most like being in ole mejico with the exception of it being clean. Enjoy

Solid Four Star restaurant. It does not get any more authentic. Go around lunch time and the place is full of indigenous people (IP) eating and drinking. Our waitress was not paying any attention to us because there were men there and she was too busy flirting . Then a paying customer came in he looked like he just got off work and was a little dirty. It was pouring rain outside and the manager told him to eat outside asked if he had any money and told him he couldn't come in. It was very rude, judgemental and unprofessional. Who are we to judge. I jumped up and said he was with me so he sat at the table next to me. They didn't ask him what he wanted to drink or give him the free chips and salsa . I paid for his food and talked to the manager and she said she can't let dirty people come in. It makes the restaurant look bad. I was so upset on how rude and...

This was an amazing place to eat...the wait staff was great,the food was awesome...my boyfriend Dennis Orr and I will definitely be going back👩‍❤️‍👨... It was very busy but our food came out steamy hot,we had steak fajitas for him and chicken fajitas for me😋😋😋😋... I do have some really good pics of our food im sharing🥰🥰 The price was great $30.00 For both to eat and we drank tea,which the waitress did tell us they have their license to sell mixed drinks they're waiting on the liquor to come in... They will be a force to recon with once they can sell mixed drinks with their food menu! Keep up the great job and we look forward to seeing you all...
