The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
Throughout my life and all the activity of reviewing my personal experiences so others could benefit from an informed perspective. This restaurant has been one of those places that Its even hard to understand how they survive.
My visits to Spazio has always been due to Wholefoods. So, the reasons for visits have been strictly related to other factors, and I am glad for that!
The Good: This location operates within the boundaries of the Wholefoods floor plan. So one of the sides of the restaurant faces the food ready section. I have tried the pizza slices you can buy while shopping for food, that works good and rarely will you find empty pizza pans.
The Bad: But... everything changes when you want to order an actual pizza. In my experience, twice I have tried to order the personal size. The first time, the attendant warned me that it would take a (30) minute while..., in a mainly discouraging tone. With a hint that she was new. The second time I noticed very limited staff on site, so the 1 or two employees would actually go out of their way to avoid eye contact to prevent any activity towards customer service.
The third and fourth time, I tried to approach from their in store counter section. It was in fact worst! This restaurant simply does not know how to mainly maintain a stable employee count. Much less any quality of service beyond the responsibility they must have with Wholefoods. BTW: why offer something you can not deliver? (i.e. Personal Pan Pizza)
The Ugly: The service is basically non existent. The only question that remains in my head is; how do this business survive?
I sincerely hope this place rectifies its situation. The ambiance is really nice! It saddens me to see this location go...
Read moreSo I order this pizza and I'm eating it thinking, "this is not a great pizza" but I'm thinking maybe it's the vegan cheese or the lackluster crust. It's not till I start thinking about dipping it in some sauce to help it out that it clicks: THERE'S NO SAUCE ON THE PIZZA!!!
In fairness, when I ordered I asked for vegan cheese, mushrooms, and roasted garlic and that's exactly what I have. It did not occur to me, however, that I needed to order sauce. Who has to ask for sauce?! You order your toppings but sauce is not a topping! WTH?! And if you know that sauce doesn't come with the pizza why wouldn't you at least ask, "hey, did you want marinara with that?" Yes! Yes, I would!
OMG! From now on I'll be getting my vegan pizzas from Mellow Mushroom where the vegan cheese is delicious, the crust is delectable, and sauce automatically comes with...
Read moreLove their pizza but what gives them 3 stars is I ordered a pizza over the phone and was told about 15-20 mins. I come in around the 20 min mark and told them I have a pickup for such and such and was told it wasn't ready only to look over and see they haven't even made my pizza yet. Then looking around the area to only see 2 families eating pizza. No apology or anything. I used to work at a pizza place so I understand firsthand about the whole fast food business so I expected more. More professionalism...
