Co-owner Jason rudely told me “it’s 5 time to buy something or move on” I did as soon as I entered the shop, $5 a can blackberry soda. Another patron bought a btl of wine mentioning his mom used to work there and she’d open a btl and share it leading to great sales. The other patron and I began chatting about favorite places to eat in NOLA, with him generously refilling my glass. I did tell Jason I’d buy a btl as I’d shopped there before, also attending several ticketed themed events. Well it seemed like another wine tasting event was starting,I wasn’t aware of that day. Correct question should have been “ sir would you like to buy a tic for the event or can I help you find a btl to go?” Instead I get his very rude comment to me. Ok I did tell him I’d buy a btl despite his rude disrespectful comment, I did and left. Well I found this interaction puzzling so I asked a friend whom patronizes the shop often. Story that’s related to me is I was making two women feel uncomfortable, how by breathing? I don’t think I spoke to a woman that afternoon let alone in a flirtatious, salacious, or ungracious manner. Co-owner can’t even own up to his mistake, I’d strongly suggest you take your...
Read moreI just went on a bachelorette trip to the area, so for an activity, I decided to look around for wine tasting in the area. I came across the Wine Cellar and decided to reach out on Facebook, and let me say..THE OWNERS ARE WONDERFULLLL. Not only did she give me a great option for an affordable wine-tasting experience (friday nights are $20 and we got to taste TWELVE wines, it was such a steal), but she went out of her way to even give us numerous other recommendations for food, drinks, activities, and photo ops in the area. When we got there, they had a massive table reserved for us and welcomed us with open arms. The servers were extremely knowledgable about the wines and their prices. There was live music, but very chill vibes. It wasnt too loud and this experience was perfect for a predinner “cocktail hour” of tasting, talking, and visiting. She even had us go outside and took several pictures of us so we could document the experience. We LOOOVEED IT. Highly recommend. Great people! Thank you...
Read moreI purchased tickets for their brunch wine tasting and was very excited to attend since it would have been my first time going to this place. Unfortunately I woke up with a cold (runny nose, congested to the point where I couldn’t breathe out of my nose, and a sore throat) the day of the event. I decided to stay home to avoid spreading illness (possibly covid or strep throat) and requested a refund. Owner denied my refund request because they claimed the ticket was non-refundable. At the time of purchase of the tickets there was nothing that said tickets were non-refundable and I even went back to check. I even tried to reason with the owner to get a credit towards a future visit to the place because I still wanted to try them out but seller refused. It’s unfortunate with this place being locally owned that there couldn’t have been a resolution so I don’t plan on trying...
