Oh boy, where do I start. I've come in this location 3 times. The first time I was hopeful, but when I received my bacon it was green. I have never seen green bacon. The waitress sent it back and corrected it. But I did have an issue while ordering, my daughter is mentally handicapped, she cannot speak clearly. I know my child and know what she eats. We were ordering and the waitress kept asking her, Id politely try to explain what my child wanted, but she would just straight up IGNORE ME! You can hear my child and see my child was having difficulties (exactly why I order for her. She tells me and I relay that) it just rubbed me the wrong way. Another reason I order for her is because if she had it her way she would order the entire menu (lol). She was trying to get 3 entrees and a waffle. I kept saying no, she's only getting this, the waitress would again look at my child and ask her. I was upset but I let it go. Time comes to leave, I tell our waitress I need to order for my husband. I say, "I need a double hashbrown all the way MINUS WHITE GRAVY AND JALAPENOS PLEASE!" She verified the order and I stressed PLEASE NO JALAPENOS PLEASE, my husband cannot eat them. I get our food and leave. I get home to find what looked like a cup of jalapenos, I picked them out and it was covered in juice. Couldn't eat it. We live further out and I wasn't making a 30 min drive back. I did "check" the food but they put the peppers under the chili. In the trash it went. I chalked it up to a human error. All was ok. I was upset because I stressed it numerous times. But the following visit I tried again, same lady waited on us. Same issue with my child, I said what she wanted and was ignored. No green bacon this time though! BRAVO! Well I order the same thing for my husband. I make it known to the waitress that last time they were covered in jalapenos and she says I'm so sorry! I'm going to be sure they don't put any this time! I just thank her. Well, I get the food and check, don't see any jalapenos. I stir around a tad and don't see anything. I assume it's fine. I get home and go to stir it and ALLLLLL over this thing mixed in is jalapenos. Idk how I missed it. So again, money WASTED. I don't waste my time calling because I never got answered last time. There will not be a 3rd time. I feel like this was done deliberately due to my annoyance with how she ignored me before. I'm still upset. You know, I might even chalk the jalapenos the 2nd time on an accident, but I know several people who work for waffle House and I've shown them the photos and they said that they've never seen this many peppers on one order unless it's ordered with that many. I have accidentally ordered the hash browns this way and you only have many 8-15 jalapeno slices? This was an insane amount. To say I'll never come back is taking it lightly. I'll go to the shields road location before I ever go back here. If you have children who you don't want having multiple dishes you better go somewhere else because I was ignored. It's clear my child can't order alone. I try to give her the independence and try, but after she can't get it out I help. She's learning and trying her best. I'm just so mad at the fact I was told she would ensure they weren't there and somehow there was EXTRA. I don't complain much, I regular a lot of places and I never give bad reviews. Anyone can look and see I'm a chill person, but this? I just can't seem to let it...
Read moreBy far the worst Waffle House experience I have ever had. The amount of health code violations was beyond disturbing and disgusting.
We weren't greeted upon entering but whatever, not a big deal. We then went unacknowledged for 10-15 minutes while the lady who would be out waitress finished dishes. Okay, fine. She did not wash her hands before approaching the table, only dried them with a paper towel. After ordering, she proceeded to tell the man cooking to cook all the hashbrowns the same, despite one person ordering their's cooked light. None of them could have been considered 'cook light' when brought to the table. None of that sounds too bad on its own, right?
I had a clear view of the waffle making station and I watched her plate our food with money in her hand. I've worked years in food service and this is so gross. You are required to wash your hands after handling money because of dirty money is and it was literally touching the bottoms of all of our plates. Then she carried the plates outs with the bottom of one plate touching the top of a waffle. And when she carried our food out, the plate was against her body and her apron was touching the toast. After the plates were slid across the table, there was something smeared across the tabletop that was not there when we sat down, meaning it had been on the bottom of one of my plates. Oh, and when one of our forks was placed on the table crusty and very visibly dirty, the waitress laughed about it and casually said "it happens around here." Excuse me, what?! She didn't even wash her hands after going out to smoke...
I wish this was made up. The whole experience was so bad and the people hanging around were so sketchy that we quickly and quieted finished our food and took our overcooked waffles...
Read moreToday is September 13, 2024 between 12:15 and 12:30 PM. I walked in and sat down to have some lunch. They were only three tables that had customers including myself…. i’ll tell you why business is slow and there were only three tables of customers. There were five people standing behind the counter when I walked in and sat down. A young girl said hi and that was it. I sit there for 10 minutes. Nobody ever walked up to me to take my order said hello, gave me a menu, or offered to get me something to drink, So I politely got up and walked out, and I will never return again… Crappy service shame on you. To the owner; You may want to check your cameras on this date and time. In my opinion, everybody behind that counter should be fired. I also noticed that a young man came out from behind back and it looked as though he was cleaning the device that holds the spatulas, after putting it in place he reached over and grabbed a piece of bread without ever washing his hands and threw it on the grill! The servers and employees Need to realize without customers you close and when you close they lose their job, We put the bread and butter on their table, and we need to be treated...
