Zaxby's is a fast food restaurant that has great chicken and salads. There are multiple locations throughout town that makes it convenient to make a short drive to find one of their franchise locations. There is the option of eating in, ordering on-line/ordering via phone app and picking up inside at the counter or the drive-thru pickup. I've ordered many times using the phone app and making a quick pick-up at the drive thru.

They have a wide variety of bone-in-wings, bones wings, sandwiches and salads. You can order the wings with sauce from Wimpy to Insane. I prefer the Wimpy (mild) sauce on the chicken fingers with Ranch dipping sauce. I also love their sweet tea which is almost always fresh. Using the online app and going through the drive through is a real timer saver for those who are always on the go and have a limited lunch period.

When my wife and I visit a Zaxby’s location near home for a causal dinner she used to order Cobb 1/2 salad and I would order the Caesar ½ salad. But several months ago, they changed and only offer the full salad which is a shame because although the salads are great the ½ salads were just the right size for us as the full salad was more than we could eat in one sitting. Since we can no longer order a half-salad we enjoy the bone-in, boneless wings and chicken fingers.

The staff is always courteous and helpful. The restaurant is very clean considering the high number of customers that pass through their doors. The food is always hot and fresh and made to order. For varieties flavors and selections of wings, Zaxby’s is worth trying out. I would be willing to bet you’ll find some that satisfies your appetite and be back again and again.

Update: Visited Zaxby's in Madison on Friday, January 31. Since Zaxby's no longer has the half salad, I ordered a Cobb salad for my wife and I to split. I asked if they could put the cucumbers and tomatoes in a separate container and they happily obliged. I don't care for the cucumber taste on the salad but my wife loves them. I’ve lived in the south Huntsville area for almost 7 years now. That particular location of Zaxby’s has continued to go downhill. From the quality of the food to the service to them getting orders consistently wrong, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Tonight I went in and ordered two salads. One of them grilled and one of them fried. I got home and one of them had no chicken on it and the other one had the wrong kind of chicken on it. When I called and spoke to the manager. I told him that I would be right back for the correct order. When I went into the establishment, he was nowhere to be found. The young lady at the counter was helpful enough, but I would expect the manager to make an appearance, and at least apologize. He was clearly avoiding me which is totally unacceptable. When originally placing my order, I was the only customer in the place, so it’s not like they were busy. What a pathetic way to run a business! If I were the owner, I would be looking for new employees. I understand mistakes happen, but these were simple orders on a very very slow night. The quality of the food and the service you get simply are not worth the price. Take your business...

Don’t waste your time. Seriously. I came in after church on Mother’s Day. The drive thru was busy (like 8 cars) but inside had only 2 people and only one was waiting on food. The staff were yelling at each other and the manager was trying to diffuse the situation. I assume the tension in the restaurant between workers is what caused the poor service and even worse food quality. I ordered simply and my food was cold and old like it had been sitting even though they are busy enough that it shouldn’t have had time to sit. The toast was too hard to bite, the fries had ZERO seasoning, the boneless wings were literally dumped in a bowl of sauce in the container and were too cold to eat, the celery was tiny and shriveled. I shouldn’t have to pay $25 for 3 small meals that are this poor in quality. I asked to replace my toast, for a fork, and for some seasoning which was met with an eye roll.
