WOW!!!! Amazing!!! I was looking for a good place to take my wife out for a special date, and it's hard to describe how this place made us feel in words because it was so unexpected! From the moment we walked inside we immediately got welcomed in by such friendly staff so we knew we were in for a treat! The Ambiance and decor almost made me feel a little bit under dressed lol. Definitely a 5 star setting! Soon enough my server NEETIKA came by and introduced herself to us. She made us feel very special. She was very patient with us and she was very knowledgeable about the menu so she was able to guide us through it. Her professionalism and kind personality alone is enough to make you want to come back!!! As far as the food, from the start the appetizers we chose were a huge success!!! I didn't think it could get any better than that but boy was I wrong!!! Our entrees were so good we wished we had two stomachs just to keep eating, but sadly we got full. My wife and i were truly impressed with the experience from beginning to the end. Overall a rate this a 5 because a 10 is not available! The best Indian food In the DFW!!!!! Please do yourself and your loved ones a favor and take them out to eat here! You will be very impressed, I promise!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Herbs Indian Cuisine for such an amazing experience!!!!!!!!

I've been hitting various Indian restaurants, since discovering Indian food. This is my first visit to Herb's. Herb's is Indian/Nepali. The Nepali pickles, which is a mix of assorted pickled vegetables were very flavorful. Goat curry, butter chicken, and dal (lintels) were all very tasty. I liked how the buffet was set up with the dishes being covered, instead of left to the open air. The goat curry was probably my favorite. They brought out naan which also tasted good. My one issue was the atmosphere. I've been in Indian places that are more simple, and playing Indian music or music videos. They had light classical/jazz piano playing. I guess I prefer music that matches the cuisine. Eating BBQ while they play EDM would be equally odd. The table setups were nice: cloth napkins and tables with cloths. Maybe Herb's the the place to take a date or have a nice dinner in the evening? Overall, if you're in the area and would like good Indian meal at a good value, Herb's is a solid choice.

I was really looking forward to trying this place ever since they opened a little while back. When I finally went, there was this feeling of deja vu, and it took me a while to realize why. It was the old Salvadorino, now renovated, rebranded and under new management. Place looks good inside. No cheap Indian/Nepali paraphernalia, but clean and minimally elegant. That's the good part. Now, the not so good. Service is friendly, but in a bumblingly cute way. Food quality is barely average for the price they charge. The kebab was slightly undercooked, and lacked any flavor. While I have had worse chicken tikka masala, what we got would definitely be in the bottom quadrant. The garlic naan was well flavored, but slightly undercooked on the inside. The mango lassi was good. Overall, I felt all the flavors were toned down to cater to the white American palate. Bottom line is, if you are expecting high quality, authentic Nepali/North Indian food, this is not the place to go to.

I celebrated my 10 year anniversary at Herbs Indian Cuisine. I booked their banquet hall for the event. The event consisted of 40 people. From the beginning of booking to the end of the party, the service was TOP NOTCH. Everyone was super nice, especially the banquet hall manager, Jyoti. He's a really nice guy. He was nice, he was flexible with the menu options, he was there the entire time of the party, and was hands on with everything. He even stayed late just for our decorator to come pickup her stuff. Just an overall great guy. Jyoti also had a right hand man who was also great. Both of them basically never said "no" to me. I understand every restaurant or banquet hall has rules but these guys were flexible with any requests that I had. Jyoti made the event super easy. About the venue, it's a nice intimate venue that can fit around 60 to 80 people at max I believe. I loved that Herbs had a buffet menu. ALL of our guests loved the food. The appetizers were chilli chicken, chicken chow mein, samosa, and fish fry. The main entrees were chicken Tikka masala, kadani chicken, goat curry, polao, mixed vegetables, etc. The dessert was golab jamun and another dessert. The food lived up to the hype. The music was cool. They already had speaker system with a mic, so that the event can Bluetooth into the system. All in all, we had an AMAZING event. Everyone one of my friends and family loved that it was a banquet hall but it wasn't too big. Just the perfect. My wife and I will definitely be coming back, but this time to eat lol. I recommend this place as an event center to anyone who's looking to book a party.

Only cons I had was that the lighting in the buffet area could've been better but that's me nitpicking. I'll give this place, the food, and especially the...

Went for dinner.

The Bad: Their butter chicken curry is okay, but definitely not some the best Ive ever tried. The chicken that comes in the butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala really needs some work. I'm a fan of grill marks on chicken, but some of the chicken was burst to a crisp and I was chewing on charcoal.

The chicken tikka masala chicken is cut into huge chunks that don’t even comfortably fit in your mouth (and I have a big mouth) so you have to cut them up with your fork or a knife. Also the chicken in both dishes was quite dry and lacking flavor.

This place is quite pricey. These two curries cost us $40 - we dined in. I understand maybe charging that much because of the ambiance which I mention later, but the taste of the food just doesn't match what they're asking for.

The Good: Beautiful restaurant, I was blown away when I stepped in in my cargo pants. The complimentary Popper appetizer was awesome. Water was refreshing and delicious. Nice smooth jazz plays while you eat. Excellent atmosphere for a date night.

Would I come again? No. I recommend if you want to try this restaurant, go during their lunch buffet. It is apparently only $18 which is what their entrees cost anyway so may as well go and try a bunch of different curries, maybe my review would've been different...
