Read moreChisholm Park has a lot to offer for families as well as individuals. The children's playground area is always clean and the swings, slides and equipment in general seems to be well maintained. A public restroom is located near the children's playground. A lot of the picnic areas have charcoal grills close by and in some locations there are covered facilities. Chisholm also has a public swimming pool as well as sports areas for baseball, basketball and lots of open areas for things like Frisbee throwing and tossing a football. There is also a large pond that is stocked with channel catfish in the Summer and trout in the Winter. Black bass, several species of perch and turtles live in the pond as well. Feeding the ducks and geese (usually stale bread) is a popular activity with the youngsters. Cranes and other aquatic birds can also be seen at various times of the year. Ants is one of the biggest negatives in the picnic areas, but that is kind of expected for most large areas where food is prepared and consumed in the open. Check Chisholm out and you will probably return with friends or maybe with someone you met there. Hope you enjoy Chisholm Park as much as my...

The entire park has over a mile worth of paved trail with a decent change in grade. There is good shade cover for the majority, and it will take you all over the park. Bicycles are not allowed.
There are a few smaller softball/youth baseball fields in the back along with an outdoor basketball court, and an additional smaller playground. Several pavilion areas for parties and get together are in a wooded spot towards the back of the park.
The aquatic center is excellent and very new...
