Pupusas Express — Restaurant in Hybla Valley

Food is excellent unfortunately I door dashed an order and called to ask for hot sauce that’s when customer service was horrible owner or manger didn’t even say his name when I called to ask for hot sauce the employee said they were out of my order but they didn’t bother to even call me or reach out to the dasher so over the phone he said he would give me two tacos plus the refund for quesa birria only 2$ which I wasn’t upset over but order comes no refund no hot sauce no tacos and the boss hung up on me twice asking rudely how I want to pay for my two tacos that his employee said would be there if they didn’t have it I would’ve gladly ordered two tacos and waited for my refund but he lied and owner hung up on me 3 times and when I said are u child or a man he said he was child very rudely again. His employe should’ve never said he could send two tacos when he didn’t have the power to do so i didn’t mind paying and waiting for my refund and getting hung up on twice is very unprofessional I’ve been going there with my sisters and family and they charge different prices then on the menu multiple times I’ve had to correct them and my sister as well and they act dumb until u show them then they change it so check y’all receipts always bc they take advantage and owner manager needs to grow up and act professional and talk like an adult not argue or atleast talk right bc I talked professionally the 1st time second time slightly ratchet after being hung up but both times u heard what I said we have all bad days but that’s no excuse to speak and hang up on a loyal customer please do better and work on customer service it comes along way. If the food wasn’t good I wouldn’t come back bc it’s always the service and pricing that’s messed up but they just let people pay extra and not mention unless u do so check the menu price and what u get charged for bc they won’t and probably do it on purpose since it’s happened 3 times while dining in...

Worst pupusas we have ever had - taste and appearance. Curtido was brown. Received frisbee sized pupusas we probably could have played actual frisbee with. Money down the drain. DO NOT BUY!!!!

Updated in response to feedback... Quite ironic I am told to consider impact of pandemic, when I ordered contactless delivery and the driver refused to leave the food outside - while also incorrectly wearing his mask.

The taste was off, as in the food and components used to make them did not seem fresh. Some pupusas were filled, some barely so. The freshness issue also applies to the curtido, which seems to have been prepared with cabbage that was about to rot. Have had pupusas and curtido prepared many ways, inside and out of restaurants and never have been presented with what we received. Frisbee comment was in reference to size AND edibility.

Order of Carne Asada, Fried Yuca and 2 pupusas.

Everything came out fresh. Just by the sight and smell of the food I knew it was going to be an amazing experience.

Started with the 🍤 on top. I'm not a big fan of seafood and the shrimp didn't disappoint. The shrimp meat was so plentiful that 3 pieces is all you need.

Then comes the steak. Thinly cut and full of flavor. Every bite was mouth watering. Wrap that up in a tortilla with some rice and salad and it's the best combination of freshness flavor and the rice is the right texture and cooked to perfection.

I initially thought it was just steak but there was a whole layer of chicken underneath! Cooked similarly to how chicken kabob is cooked.

The environment felt right. Not too big and not too small and there's plenty of artwork and decorations of El Salvador on display.
