Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

This was the most pathetic event today. I was in line there were 2 people in front of me and one person did eventually come up behind me so the 1st person in front of me was at The ordering board and I pulled in line at 9:20. The person at the board set there maybe 11 or12 minutes before she gave her order then she pulled up and the next person pulled up to the window there maybe 11 or 12 minutes before he gave an order and then he pulled around the corner but he could pull that far round because the car in front of him still hadn't made it to the window because there was a car in front of them. So now I'm at the window and I waited I waited a long time and while I'm waiting the cars in front of me never move for a long time maybe 10 more minutes 12 minutes after that the man in front of me he decided to pull out of the line and leagues so I started speaking to the board saying hello hello hello no one answered me so I pulled up to see could I pull on around and that 1st car was still at the window in had just made it to the window now that car set there for the duration of the time in the meantime no 1 ever came to the board to help me so I'm still saying hello hello to the board with no response. So when the car in front of me did pull off I pull to the window then the lady at the window tales me they're closed and that they had no more chicken that that person who just pulled off had ordered 35 piece of chicken and that was all the chicken . So my question with the why didn't you come to the border tell me I've waited all this time basically they had no answer and by this time it was 5 after teen pathetic. And I did made a video of this once I realized no one was coming to the board. Just pitiful. I just wanna add also that yes the windows were very dirty and I'm mentioning this because I was reading some of the other input and someone mentioned that the windows were so clean but I'm including a picture to prove that that aint necessary the case...

Stopped by here for the first time & decided to try a few things. Inside it looks brand new. The staff comes out regularly to clean up. The lobby itself is pretty small so you have to make sure to not block the doorway. It's one of the few fast food chains in the area still offering dine-in.

The mini churros include a small cup of chocolate. Kind of spicy which is odd. Fried to golden perfection, but you taste more cinnamon than sugar. They are small & neatly packed so there's very little mess other than what breaks off when you bite into them. There's not even any oil. The baked mac & cheese hits you with a tidal wave of cheesy goodness. It is perfection in a cup.

I was interested in seeing how the black pepper honey bourbon chicken fared. The crispy broiled skin lulls you into a false sense of security. The flavor comes in waves. First a blanket of sweetness from the honey then the bourbon slowly creeps in before it hits you full force with the spiciness of the black pepper. The half-chicken was beautifully moist as well. You'd be hard pressed to find better chicken. It comes with an airy biscuit that is also glazed with honey. The mashed potatoes were the least impressive though with a blandness that leaves something to be desired.

Overall this is one of the better Church's chickens. The inside is remodeled & looks brand new. They even have people washing the windows regularly. The inside is pretty much spotless, no sticky floors, no gum, no oily tables & no homeless people. The staff is friendly & the manager makes sure that their customer service...

Went to this location on 9/4 and ordered 8 piece mixed (dark and white) spicy at 5:33pm. Was told by cashier Willie that it would be a 8 minute wait and I said no problem. After about 10 minutes and still hearing other workers (not Willie) say it was a wait on spicy chicken, I didn't think anything of this. After about 5 more minutes, I noticed Willie has now disappeared and my order receipt is still on the counter next to the register. I then asked Nicole if she knew how much longer on my order would be. Instead of looking at my receipt or asking me any questions, she rudely said "No I don't and kept walking." I encountered another employee and she went and checked. I was told that all was available were legs and wings. So from 5:33pm when I placed my order to about 5:55pm, I just wasted my time. The hours for 9/4 posted was lobby was to close at 6pm and the doors were locked. This is important because I immediately asked for a refund. The gentleman who processed my refund was not concerned about why I was requesting a refund nor was an apology given, but he made sure that the people at the door were let in because those were his kids.
