Family Den — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

OMG We had a ball last night So my mom celebrated her 64th birthday at THE FAMILY DEN last night and might I say the atmosphere was wonderful.

#1 Booked A Party (easy) 1st of all no cover charge to get in which was great. No fee to book party just have your food catered from the kitchen. I highly recommend booking a party.

#2 The Food (reasonable rate) We ordered the catered food from the kitchen and everybody loved it. We had mac & cheese greens, string beans and potatoes chicken. My family loved all the food. It wasn’t no food to take home cause it was so good. Thank you Andre and staff for your wonderful meal. They also have a kitchen and food served all night. They do have Veggie options and they are known the have great wings.

#3 The Atmosphere Great social and networking environment. Over 30 people showed up for my party and there were all able to get a seat even though it was packed at 4pm in the afternoon on a Saturday . I was like daggggg I thought I was coming early to beat the crowd .,,,,,, the crowd was already getting it in. The staff was great , the owners made sure we had enough chairs , drinks, table and were consistent to the party needs. Thank you the to the owners and staff who made my mom day special

#4 The Music/DJ The music was dope, my family stayed on the dance floor because the DJ was playing hit after hit. My feet and legs are hurting right now because of how long I danced,

5 The Bar (Drinks) Well I don’t drink. I sipped on cold ice water that was available all night. My family didn’t have any complaints though and the bar was packed. Waiter’s came to the tables and took drink orders for the party crew.

#6 The bathroom They got a bathroom lady on deck. I seen this lady on her hands and knees with bleach and sanitizer cleaning products cleaning the floor, keeping the bathroom smelling good. She had bubble gum, suckers, hand soap, paper towels, everything that you needed in that bathroom and she made it so cozy and wonderful. I felt like I was at home in that bathroom. That’s how she had it looking and smelling nice and clean and sanitized shout out to the bathroom lady I don’t remember her name, but she did her thing.

#7 Security (Not Playing No Games) Gotta be 30 and up I believe, Your being checked at the door . I could tell the have a great concern with making sure the environment stay cool and safe. Security staff was wonderful.

#8 The Family Den is the place to be I highly recommend booking The Family Den for your next party event and or if you just want to come out to a nice fun environment and party .

I just left here and i was totally disrespected by the security guard. I come here all time I was dancing and the security guard approached me saying that someone told him I was 25, but i am 39 and he told me i had to leave. I showed him my ID to prove to him that i was 39 and he still was pressing me saying that he was going to call the police if i don’t leave. I asked what did i do that I have to leave and he still was saying i have to go without no legit reason. First, they didn’t even ask for my ID when I first arrived so if i was under age you would have gotten in trouble. Then as I was leaving he approached me again saying your banned from here which once again and I didn’t do anything wrong. I felt like my life was threatened because he kept harassing me the whole time i was there I will never come back her again because they are very disrespectful and this place should be closed for hiring incompetent security guards. I will be reporting this to the better...
