Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

I placed an online order today at 4:15 PM. I then received an email stating my order had been delivered. I immediately contacted this Pizza Hut location at 4:35 PM. The manager Ed or Eddie stated, “my food was out for delivery and he did not understand why the tracker was saying it had already been delivered”. My 5:26 PM, I contacted this Pizza Hut location again because it had been over an hour and my food was not delivered. The manager told me again, “my food was out for delivery”. At 5:59 PM, when I did not receive my order I called again, Eddie (the manager) stated, “Let me see where my food is (there was a lot of scrambling in the background), he then said, “My cook is preparing your order now, we were looking for some dough! I have two drivers out I can get you your food shortly.”

I was appalled at the blatant unprofessionalism (over talking me) and lies (telling me twice my food was out for delivery when according to the manager upon my 3rd time calling, it never left the restaurant or it did leave and the driver disappeared with my food). The manager (who is to lead employees in an honorable way) lied to a customer and someone who has patronize this location for years. When I asked for the GM’s name, Eddie refused to provide me with a name, stating he cannot disclose that information. I will not be ordering from this...

I used to live in the area up until recently and I still go to Pizza Hut just not that one. Me and my ex friend ordered 1 Large 3 topping stuffed crust pizza, 1 pan of lasagna, and 2 Cherry Pepsi's. They said it will be 45 mins to an hour. As we were ordering they were like "We don't have a single pan lasagna" so we got 2 small pans which equal to 1 big pan. An hour and 13 mins later they call us saying "We do not have Cherry Pepsi" so my ex friend says "Ok just give us regular Pepsi" ... "Sorry we're out of Pepsi, but we can give you Pepsi Max!" WE DID NOT WANT DIET PEPSI. At that point I am thinking to myself...

THEY ARE SUPER LATE!!! They don't even know what they have inventory wise. I can't believe this service!

So I asked my friend to cancel the $30 dollar order that we placed and ordered from a Pizzeria competitor in the neighborhood. I was highly disappointed. I told all of my friends at the idiocy that is going on in that place. I went to Pizza Hut's website and complained, asked them to get back to me and they never did. I guess customer doesn't always come first???

Lesson learned, wasted over an hour. And notice that they called after 1hr and 12 mins to ask what kind of pop we wanted... the food wasn't even here after an hour!!!! ...

This Pizza hut is my local pizzeria for quick dinner. The service is decent, they have nice ones and meanier ones. Overall, Customer service is not why i come back. The pizza is. But this is all i can say for postives about this restaurant.

I was feed up when I ordered wings online and when i came to pick up my order i was told they “ran out of the wings” this was very irratating and furthermore a waste of my time and gas. I never understood how a restaurant runs out of food. In their defense though, the yoing lady said she called the number associated with my online order but i wasn’t by the phone when she called and didn’t find the need to return a miss call from an unknown number.

In addition, it was very inconvenient that they don’t except bills over $20. The cashier looked at me like i had the bad disease when i tried to hand him a $100. He was one of the Semi-rude individuals..

Overall if you value customers service and convenience this pizza hut is NOT an ideal choice for you.. but if you just want a good pizza (and God forbid u want wings or pasta bc they might have “run out”) then this...
