Harold's Chicken Shack — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

Visited Harold's, a few hours ago and I do have to say it was the worst experience I have encountered in a long while. Knowing the owner (but not too well--my kids father and the owner are friends somehow), I and my daughter or son, would go to this location because I prefer to patronize and support the people I know or know of. Well first, the girl at the register was horrible and did not want to work today, and was in a bad mood. Employees go to work in a bad mood because the managers and/or owners go to work in a bad mood. Secondly, I ordered the catfish dinner and did not want the sauce on the food, I wanted it on the side, so she rings up a sauce, and I asked her if she rang the sauce up as extra and she said yes...so I told her I did not want the sauce if it was extra., So the owner came out and I thought it was strange he pretended not to see us, although he saw us before he came out of the office, but I was fine with that, not knowing what may have been going on with him, but when he finally looked up, I waived and he ignored me. When the food came up, I tried getting his attention again to ask him why do he charge people extra for sauce because people do not want it on the food, but he went into this dramatization of an act, so to not fall into his pit of misery, I asked how much was the sauce and just paid the extra amount and left. I can guarantee that I will never step foot in the Harolds's on 79th and Cottage again...good...

Horrible customer service. I came to this establishment and ordered food. Tasha (the manager) told me that fries didn’t come with my chicken. It also said it on the menu. So of course I ordered fries. However, when I received my food, there was a ton of fries with my chicken. And the extra fries that I ordered. Now I was a bit confused because I essentially just paid $6 extra for something I didn’t need. I explained this to the manager, Tasha, and the woman literally argued with me in the lobby area. She came from behind the window, into the lobby to read the menu to me. First off that was very unnecessary and rude. I explained to the woman that I was very literate and could read myself. I explained to her that the issue wasn’t rather or not if the menu says something, but that I paid extra for their mistake! Tasha attitude was horrible and she continue to make comments like “ I don’t know how much logical I can make this. It don’t come with fries and ok he put fries with your chicken when he didn’t suppose to”.. but yet she still missed the point. I paid extra and wanted a refund. I definitely wouldn’t have ordered extra fries if I knew they were going to be with my food. Never will be patronizing this place again. And I will be contacting Mr. Bailey... her attitude was very demeaning, disrespectful,...

Very Rude Cashier who works there. She has a bad Attitude with Customers if you don't request their Lemon Pepper which she is charging Customers Extra for. She is taking & skimming Cash Money on the side for Her Self. I told her that I didn't want the Lemon Pepper on my Order & she became furious with me. She then said that I owed her my refund change that I had coming back since I didn't want the sauce. I told her that I wanted my change back because she has a habit of charging me Extra for every one of my orders I've never said nothing at all to this woman except for to just place my Order. So she just snaps on me and tells the other staff that she is not serving me there anymore. She is a very Rude and dishonest and disrespectful woman. My bill has always changed each of the times I've placed my orders. Beware of this Greedy change stealing woman. She is a Con Artist who thinks that she's slick. I don't think the staff is aware of her stealing little money undercover on the side. But if you can add it up after every Customers orders, she is making big money every day. At the End of the day and month she is making a part time Pay Check. She's so petty because it's any where from 50c up to dollars. So check your Recipe is you value your hard days Earnings. She's the older woman who is always taking...
