By me having such a full busy schedule, I searched on line for a soul food restaurant that was open on Thanks Day. I seen and called them to verify if they're open and willing to selI me any available catered dishes. The lady that answered the phone was so polite and placed the owner on the phone who had allowed me to place a catered order at last minute. I ordered Mac, yams, Because they were the only trays available, yet when I arrived, The owner and his family had given me the trays of Mac and yams, and added a tray of dressing and this huge tray of turkey wings. The Mac was so cheesy and perfectly baked, them yams wasš„ I've never had yams with pineapple and wouldn't of tried it, if I had known š But omg they wereš„along with the dressingš„,and the turkey wings was so huge that it minus as well had been a whole turkey, the meat was seasoned perfectly and tender, sliding off the bone. Omg my family and I were blessed to have found another blessed family that looks out for his customers as he did for us . The food was packaged well ,they assisted me to the vehicle with the trays. I haven't had southern soul food like that in several years. That's some good soul healing food. I truly whole heartedly wish The owner, and his family and restaurant the best of blessed wishes and more success. Thank you for making myself and family have a great Thanksgiving with plenty of good leftovers for the 2&3 huge plates that we atešÆšÆ OH and they've also worked with me with the money that I had. So when I initially walked in to pick up my order the young man asked me what the name was on the order and he preceded to ring me up then he asked the other young lady in the back ādid dad tell u about the price changeā and I couldn't understand if I'm picking up my order after 630PM WHY didn't they just put a sign up instead of having a conversation about price changes that haven't went into effect yet. So he calls his dad and see about the price changes and his dad told him don't worry about it because theyāll be back. I KNOW I WONāT BE BACK
The first issue : On the menu it never mentioned anything about the sweet potatoes having pinneaples and I had already ate 2 when discovered it was pinneaples in it & I'm allergic to pinneaples
2nd issue: everything was so greasy it was literally just grease sitting at the bottom of my plate
3rd issue :some type of gritty white stuff all throughout the greens and there was no meat in the greens and they were so BLAND
4TH issue: the cornbread had a wet texture and had corn pieces in the inside of the muffins
5th issue: Pork chops weren't seasoned and it looks like they're just fried with gravy on the bottom and the top they were NOT cooked in the gravy

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was good, but the customer service was even better. I went in today, 2-26-23 about 3:30 pm. It was busy, and the phones were ringing back to back. There were only two workers in the store. One was taking orders, and the other was making the plates/containers. When the line went down the cashier was assisting with making the orders. Those two young women were stressed, I was stressed for them. They continued to smile, be cordial, kind, answer questions, and make food. Those two women are an asset. To the owner: PLEASE get them some help. Sunday is a busy day for restaurants. If these women leave because you are working them to death and dragging them in ground, you may NEVER find dedicated workers like them again. Please do better and get more workers in your restaurant. Today was my first visit and it was disheartening to see these two women trying to take orders, fill in restaurant, and door dash orders, answer the phone, fill the hot table, and make corn bread. Treat your employees better and value good help. Thank you to the two young women for being so kind....
