I don't know about the quality of the food, but I discovered the quality of service. This review is not to tear down my people but to advise them in order to improve their customer service. Upon arrival at 5:00 PM, I, along with several other paying customers, that there was nothing prepared. The wait would be anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour. That, my people, is unacceptable!! I waited in the parking lot, because I was determined to watch how this situation played out. I counted 57 cars in the drive-thru pull away after having been notified of the ridiculously long wait time. I watched all of that potential money drive away. Yes, most customers yelled about it at the person answering the the drive-thru calls. After my hour's time had expired, returned to the dining area and as I entered I encountered the cashier displaying a snappy attitude with a customer as she order. That's a No-No. There were 2 Door Dash drivers, 2 GrubHub drivers and a driver for Uber Eats there with orders to be picked up. The staff had very bad work communication with each other. The cashier tried to help but never took off her gloves as she went from handling money to handling food. SMH on that one. The Door Dash driver walked away after having been told that her orders will be another 20 minutes. She and I conversed 10 of those before she decided to cancel her deliveries. That was more money lost on both sides then. My order was a large one which had 3 Apple pies included. After my order was bagged, the one lady realized that the Apple pies were not included and was told that the wait would be another 5-7 minute wait. I continued to practice patience long enough to watch the unorganized motions going on behind the glass. The young lady on the other side of the chicken bin, yes, the one that was told to prepare the apple pies, was on her phone. Needless to say, my 5-7 minutes turned out to be a 10 minute wait. I finally got my order and left. I'm not sure if the order was correct or complete. I was one of the Food delivery people. If the order was less than perfect, there will be another negative response to deal with I'm sure. Please, my people, get it together. You are bleeding money. Managers, please check on your crews. They have bad attitudes and poor work ethics. You may need to have a meeting to get some answers. Crew members, if you are not happy with your job, please, either don't come to work and take out you frustrations on your customers and coworkers, or talk to you manager about what's going on. Managers, listen to your crew members and help them as best you can. If you don't, you will lose out on so much money. I had this discussion with a few of the other drivers and they said that this location is habitual for this type of service or lack thereof. After I made my delivery from your establishment, I had another order that came in for the same location. I declined it, turned off my app and went home. More money lost. First I'd like to say one star is too much! Had the occasion to visit this location. The heavy set f/b 5'3, 210 lbs with braids on top and shaved side of her head is very unprofessional and ignorant. I had to tell her my order 3 x's because she was so busy running off at the mouth with her co-workers! The she waited 7 minutes before telling the cook to drop my chicken the number 9. She the order taker never related how long it would take for sandwich. There is another worker with false eye lashes and false nails on. Gee, isn't that a health code violation? Also I would like know why, this location only had lemonade for a beverage. While waiting a young man entered from the drive thru complaining about his order, which happened to be a chicken sandwich only. The young lady with the false eye lashes and nails told him there wasn't any chicken sandwiches available. In turn they gave the man from the drive thru my sandwich that left me waiting, even longer. Upon me informing the staff I wanted a refund. The original order taker stated "there is no refunds." The worker with the false lashes and nails went to get the manager just coming on duty. So, when I related the detail steps. the order taker gave me the refund out of her pocket The manager was very pleasant and tried to remedy the issue. By then I was just ready to leave. Read moreWanted to try out the new chicken nuggets. To my surprise they offer a 48 piece nugget for $22 so I said why not have lunch for the next few days? They look to be offering a new cheesecake cup too so I picked up one of those for $3 along with some red beans & rice.
Customer service: The order took way longer than expected. It took almost 30 minutes just to get it out the door. The cheesecake cup was still half frozen (which makes me think they were waiting until they thawed.) 3/5
Chicken nuggets: Presentation - What you expect from Popeyes. Beautiful golden brown flaky breading. Just mouthwatering. 5/5
Taste - They obviously meant this to be dipped because that cajun seasoning is nowhere to be found. It doesn't even seem like they seasoned it with the basic salt & pepper which is disappointing. The dips are nothing special. Popeyes seems to want to put a spin on normal dips & fail miserably. 3/5
Red beans & Rice: Presentation - Perfectly laid rice on top of the red beans. Probably the neatest I've ever seen it made. 4/5
Taste - Fantastic. That's all you need to know. 5/5
Cheesecake cup - Presentation - Frozen. Standard cheesecake look with the strawberry drizzle. 2/5
Taste: Low tier. Crumbly/powdery. Everything is pretty subdued. Not too sweet, but underwhelming. 2/5
Overall this Popeyes is hit or miss. Some of it is not the fault of the restaurant itself since they aren't making the food from scratch. At least we still have that red beans & rice.
