Seafood shack & steak market on stony — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

This. Place. Slaps. Like omg. I got the lemon pepper chicken tenders w fries and fried shrooms and the Beyoncé tea jug. The chicken and fries were so good, I didn’t even need to dig for the sauces I didn’t even know were in the bottom of the bag (bbq and ranch, not anything special). The shrooms were so fly, my cat ripped into the bag while I was sleeping and had some. (He also ripped into the empty chicken box hoping for a snack there, too.) I heated the shrooms up the next day w some shredded cheese on top and it was 🔥🔥🔥. They also heavily advertise that they take ebt, but they will add on a $2 cash charge to an ebt purchase, fyi. The ppl watching inside was GREAT. the gal behind the glass was sooo sweet. Whoever’s mans was in the kitchen needs all the gold stars. They also have some groceries for sale like pantry items, ice creams in a cooler, a kiddie gum-ball machine. It’s connected to a shell, so you can fill up, get your scratchers, buy yo ciggies all at the same time, God willing. Srsly, God WOULD eat here if he touched down on the S Side for a day, hand to God. 😂 also, there’s no eat-in fyi, but it’s so good, I devoured most of it in the car driving to the TJs for snacks/dips. (Dips that I didn’t even need bc it was So. Dayum. Good. By itself. Srlsly) I’m gonna be having dreams about this place until I go back. I went in this restaurant tonight and ordered 2 catfish dinners steamed with the rice, potatoes and broccoli. I got home and opened them and BOTH meals were fried and served with fries ONLY (I DONT EAT FRIED FOOD) so I called because I don't live to close and spoke to Tatiana (same woman who took Order) and told her my issue and asked if I could come in WITH the food and get it corrected. She told me I asked for it this way (again I don't eat fried food) and that I would have to pay more money to get my order corrected EVEN THOUGH THEY GAVE ME THE WHOLE ORDER WRONG! She said call tomorrow to speak to a manager because there's nothing she could do to correct their mistake Even thoughI didn't want a refund, I just wanted my order corrected. I will update this after I call to speak to Eddie the manager tomorrow. But she was very unhelpful and rude and does not need to be at the front desk!!! Seafood snacks? What are y’all got, kelp? Honestly, I have no way to possibly fathom what a seafood snack could be. But that’s not even the most confusing part to me, y’all got steak too? How? Is the steak a seafood snack? Well, it is separated by a “&”, so I guess not. Or could it possibly be that the cows who are the steaks were fed seafood snacks? Or could it be that the cows were sea cows? Maybe the cows were born and raised underwater. I’m just trying to imagine the logistics of that, like how would the cows get oxygen? Maybe it’s highly oxygenated water. Or maybe throughout billions of years of evolution the cows became adapted to the sea life. I’m not even sure that cows have been around for that long.
