Viany's Pizzeria, a casual eatery offering a diverse menu of deep dish and other pizzas alongside Mexican selections, unfortunately left much to be desired during my recent visit. While the concept of combining these popular cuisines is appealing on paper, the execution, particularly regarding value, proved to be a significant drawback. The primary issue encountered was the disappointing disconnect between the portion sizes and their respective costs. This was particularly evident with the pasta dishes, where the serving felt notably meager for the price tag attached. Whether it was the pizzas, the Mexican offerings, or especially the pasta, the amount of food received consistently felt insufficient, leaving a distinct feeling of being overcharged. It’s challenging to appreciate the flavors when you feel the value proposition is so fundamentally imbalanced across the menu. Beyond the portion and cost concerns, the overall dining experience at Viany's Pizzeria simply didn’t meet expectations. It wasn't necessarily a terrible experience, but rather one that lacked any notable positive elements that would warrant a return visit. The atmosphere, service, and food quality, while not overtly poor, consistently hovered around mediocre. This combination of underwhelming portions for the price – most notably with the pasta – and a generally uninspired visit makes it difficult to recommend Viany's Pizzeria for those seeking both satisfaction...
Read moreFinally got the chance to go and try out Viany's pizza/Don Luis restaurant. It was good for the most part. I was uneasy at the fact that the waitress didn't know the menu. When I saw her writing down one item then another. I asked doesn't the kids menu have hamburger w/ fries. She didn't even know it was on the menu. (Why. I'm saying this? Is because I want to get charged the right amount for what we're getting.) When it was time to pay Holy Cow.... $115 LIKE, WHAT, WHY?? we didn't even order a whole lot for 4 people. Due to our budget. Trying to be careful. But, went over our budget, due to the 18% GRATUITY and hidden card fees... Most restaurants charge that after you have 5 people and up. Like Wooooow Sorry 😞 not going there no more. And letting family know too. Before they do, To be careful. Checked our bank acct. And got charged $120 actually. Due to card fee charges. You get charged extra for using your card. We weren't told anything at the time. (So many people say to stay local. But, when you do this happens). • I used to work in the restaurant business. So I know off hand what's to be expected. But, when there's NO WARNING any where in the restaurant about the charges(18%Gratuity & card fees.) Yeah, that's a problem. Hopefully they...
Read moreMy family and I will not be going back. We were very excited to visit the place, and had high expectations. We ordered a family sized pizza and once we went to pick it up, we were told it was burnt. Since it was late for us, we took the burnt pizza. They offered to make one for free on our next visit. We were told to write our name and number down, so that way they knew who to give it to. When we went to collect the pizza a couple of days later, management didn't know anything about the situation or the promise, and was told to come back when the employee who took our order worked again. We had to go back many times, and when we're able to speak to both the employee and manager, we were told that they wouldn't give us the pizza or a refund, because they aren't supposed to do that. I find it ridiculous that we were told to leave our information and then have to come back several times, just for us to be denied what we...
