Megpies — Restaurant in Idaho Falls

We had been driving all day and did a quick bit of research on a spot to stop for afternoon tea and stretch our legs before carrying on with the drive. Megpies popped up as we were looking to try some bakery goods to perk us up. The anticipation built as we drove into town. We were greeted by a very friendly gent and were served a couple of slices of in season strawberry and rubarb pie. The pastry was perfect and there was a great balance of flavour and sweetness in the filling. We highly recommend this as a stop if you want to pick up some quality pies. Megpies is a charming and delightful bakery that is located in a sweet little cottage in Idaho Falls. They have gluten free options available for those who are gluten sensitive. Meg seriously has a talent and is incredibly gifted at making baked goods. Every pie I've tried it so delicious. The French Silk, Peaches and Cream, Apple, Strawberry…all of the pies are amazing! And the quiche she makes is so good too, even my 1 year old can scarf a whole slice. The Idaho Falls community is blessed to have her baking for us.
