Tacos Mi Pueblo — Restaurant in Idaho Falls

Stopped in recently for the first time. It's hard to find cabeza tacos in the area so I wanted to try this place out. Restaurant was kept very clean, and the service was friendly. You can tell they take pride in their establishment. The cabeza tacos were great; not the best I've ever had, but were very good, and probably better than I've had in SE Idaho. I was expecting smaller street tacos, more like 4.5". They came out bigger than expected, around 6". That said, I'm not sure if they just charged me a gringo tax, or if they were a little spendy, but 4 tacos and a soda cost me $20 (before tip). Seemed a little spendy compared to comparable tacos I've had elsewhere. Would have also liked to have some carrots and jalapenos on the side, but the radishes were still good. My Favorite Mexican Spot in Town! Very tasty and authentic Mexican food—this place is seriously one of my go-to spots. The super chile tacos and fish tacos are soooo good, especially with the green salsa (don’t forget the green salsa!). They use fresh homemade tortillas for those, and you can really taste the difference. I also love the milanesa tortas, ham tortas, and shrimp coctel—all packed with flavor.

I’m a regular here for a reason. The fried ice cream and sopapillas are the perfect dessert. They’ve got a big drink selection in the fridge, portions are filling, prices are fair, and service is quick. The place is always clean, and Rosario the owner is so friendly and hardworking.

This was my first time trying this restaurant. The building looks really nice inside. It was bright and clean. I ordered two burritos to go. The burrito cabaza was really good, the meat was very flavorful. The red hot sauce paired very well with it. The burrito buche was also very tasty. This was my first time have buche meat and it has a different texture, but the flavor is spot on. I liked drizzling the green tomatillo sauce on it.
