Compared to the original location, this one is night and day difference, and I mean that in a terrible way. Caffeina on State has been a staple for me since I moved here to the treasure valley. Upon moving to the bench, I was so stoked to be so close to one of their locations!!!

Until I realized how underwhelming this one is in comparison. Can't tell you how many times I've gotta wait at the menu outside for multiple minutes with no one else in line before being noticed. Then, it never takes less than 8 minutes for my single drink. And it never tastes the same, literally ever. And now, after being on bed rest for the last 4 days, wanted to treat myself to a peppermint mocha. But nope, as usual, this caffeina is a letdown. No peppermint until December.

The girls working here are super nice and such a delight any time I come in but that's literally the only redeeming quality of this location. Not sure I'll go back now because it's just letdown after letdown with this location. It's equidistant to push and pour for me and while Caffeina on State does a better mocha than P&P, I can't ever expect that quality or consistency from this location. Utterly...

The last coffee shop of the day in Boise and I was astonished! This place is packed upon arrival with more people coming in as I walked in. I knew this place was going to be good. I walked in and checked out the mugs, the seats, and the selection of coffee beans.

Sara took my order for a bag of Espresso Primo beans and a sausage burrito. I did not want to try a drink because I already had enough coffee for the day so I had to pass sadly. I did want food though so I ordered the burrito. I was shocked at the price and for being a coffee shop, I was expecting a very small burrito like the usual small servings.

Let me tell you right now that this shop blew my expectations on that burrito. First of all, it was nearly as tall as the bag of coffee itself! Second, the tortilla held up incredible well which is totally rare! Third and most importantly, it was not greasy at all! It felt like the most hearty breakfast burrito I have ever had! We met a friend here and stayed to have goodies and drinks. We snagged the last gluten-free muffin. I asked, and they verified that the GF goodies were made in-house. Unfortunately, the muffin was dry and gritty...typical of a heavy, rice flour based baked good.

Two of us ordered Chai and we ordered one plain latte. The coffee latte was bitter. ..worse than Starbucks bitter. The two Chai tea lattes were said to be good.

The interior is full of overly soft, low seating, and bar height seating. Three employees and half the tables remained dirty while they stood around with no customers to serve.

The exterior has one large table, literally falling apart, as well as wicker chairs, which are all splitting. The lights are caked in dead bugs and dirt. There are flies everywhere. There is some shade, so there is that.
