Food was a solid 4.0 in experience. I ordered the green curry for takeout, and was not disappointed. It’s not the best that I’ve had in the treasure Valley, and when I say the best, I’m not referring to any kind of upscale restaurant. This one just happened to be that the spices used were not as aromatic/flavorful as some of the other restaurants that I’ve been to. Could not be due to the time of the year with regards to seasonings available? Possibly. I just know that I am a regular for Thai cuisine and have been going to different restaurants lately on the Thai kick for the last three weeks ordering more or less the same 3 to 4 dishes, and felt that this one was rated just below some of the other places I’ve been to. The rice was good, but had some crunchy spots in it as if they were using up the last bit of what was in the cooker, but this personally doesn’t bother me as I do this in my own home, but I think some people might have an issue with this or perceive it as Potentially overcooked? I will more than likely come back in order to try their pad, Thai, and their pineapple fried rice as well as various teas. This was overall a very good experience, and the staff were fantastic, and the atmosphere was exceptional. Also notable for an honorable mention was that I called ahead of time, and my order was taken care of and ready for me quicker than they said it would be. I was given a 15 minute wait time and arrived around eight minutes into that, and within 30 seconds of me saying I had an order for [name] there was a lady bagging it up and bringing it to the counter. I also really enjoyed the experience of this place because I felt like I could truly tailor my order. There are times when I really don’t want to eat meat, but would like a solid protein and for this case, I was able to order a green curry, which came an ample amount of eggplant, green and red, bell pepper, and the soft tofu that I asked for. I was also extremely pleasantly surprised by their bamboo shoots. Most of the time I ask for these to be taken out, but I was in a rush and forgot to ask that, and after taking a first bite, I am not sure if they pickle them, or leach them somehow, but the normal pungent of them was taken out, and I was left with an amazing crunch, similar to that of a carrot, but very enjoyable for my experience. I would definitely recommend recommend this restaurant to friends and family who want a location that definitely provides a fun hole in the wall experience but but on the inside has some really...
Read moreGreat experience! Every dish amazing! Avocado rolls bursting with fresh, healthy greens. Who needs a salad? Well, we did. We also ordered the papaya salad (just a bit too salty). Matcha green tea was a beautiful (and tasty) light shade of green with a touch of coconut cream. Garlic-Pepper entree did not disappoint. Great for garlic lovers. Seafood with pineapple & red curry was divine. Portions are generous. I'm not a fan of hot-spicy, but medium (level 2) was just right. Don't worry. Wish we had room to try dessert. To-go containers are cute, but need a handle or bag. Closes at 9:30, but actually kitchen closed at 9:15, so don't be late. We will definitely be back to try all menu items! . 7/29/2024 Update.... New owners, but Thai Cuisine continues to be an outstanding experience in authentic Thai cuisine. :) Highly recommended. . Pros - Beautiful dining room, but sure to look under the tablecloths to discover the intricately carved wood tables. Staff is friendly, fast and knowledgeable. Always willing to make your dining experience perfect. Just ask! I ordered an off-menu item; the fresh roll. It is a rice paper roll, with lots of green veggies, mint, and choice of protein. I chose tofu. It comes with 2 dipping sauces; sweet-sour & peanut, both are amazing! I also ordered the wonton soup. I was pleasantly amazed at the fresh ingredients, bright flavors, and deep-rich broth. I couldn't stop saying, "Mmm." Lol. The rolls and soup were more than enough to fill my stomach, but I still wanted more. . Cons - Not really enough parking, so get there early or plan to park/walk from the nearby shopping plaza. I personally have always found parking on site, but it could be an issue at times. . Again, it is highly recommended to visit again and again. They deserve the business and...
Read moreI've been reading the reviews as I was curious to see what other people were thinking of this place as it has been so long since I got the chance to eat there. From what I remember of this place is that the food is authentic and really spicy. Just the smell of it will get your mouth watering and that first bite is the stuff of dreams; like you can't believe that it could be so good, you hope that it is, yet your still pleasantly surprised and a little shocked to discover that it was something that you hoped would be great and when you tried it, well, let me put it this way, it's like biting into something and suddenly memories of eating mom's home cooked meals come galloping back to the forefront of your mind from deep within the recessed corners of wherever long forgotten memories are stored and for one brief moment you are a little kid again, working hard in the kitchen with mom telling you stories about herself when she was growing up, about what it was like for her in her childhood and you didn't have to worry because she was this incredible woman that worked a tedious job because that's what parents do, they work. Oh and the stories she'd share with you were the stuff of dreams and as you listened to her talk, you'd almost break down in tears as you remembered how hard providing for your every need was. Ah, the memories. Peking duck served with fire-roasted red potatoes on the side. Actually, I never really ate this, however, from what I can see, that's how I would describe what I imagine it might be like to eat some of your food. Taste of...
