Roosters has been on my list of breakfast joints to check out. Since we were in the area we stopped in today for breakfast. Walking in, the joint is very bright and big! There's a lot of tables and bar type seating at the window. I loved the country type decor and all the roosters everywhere. It's a really cute venue.

If I had to describe this restaurant, I would compare it to a cafeteria. You place your order and everything from that point on is self serve. We placed our order at the front register. I got the 2 eggs combo with sausage. My husband got the ham breakfast sammy with sourdough. We grabbed a table and our drinks while our food was being worked on.

They has one coffee dispenser for coffee. The coffee looked really dark so I added some hot water to it. Unfortunately, with the addition of the hot water, my coffee was still luke warm. It was drinkable but it would have been nice to have a hot cup of it. My husband grabbed his drink from the soda machine. All of the straws, coffee creamers and utensils were on the side to help yourself to.

Food came out pretty fast. My eggs were fried nicely. The sausage was warm but not really hot. The hashbrowns were nicely golden but not really hot. They did give me a good portion of the country gravy. The only thing that was piping hot was the pancake syrup that I got for my sausage. My husband enjoyed his sammy. He did appreciate that the ham was sliced thin and it wasn't a huge chunk of ham.

After you're done, they have you clear off your own plates, silverware and cups. Tipping throws me off at this point cause what are we tipping you for? They don't fill got drinks, remove any of your plates or even check up on you. It truly is like a cafeteria. I guess I had a different impression of this joint. I thought it would be like any other breakfast joint in town. Roosters is a easy going venue if you're looking for an easy place to eat at. I'm happy I got to try it out but I probably...

Ate there for the first time today and I promise it won't be the last! Spacious, clean, friendly, reasonably priced and most important the food was delicious! The blackberry bacon jalapeno grilled cheese sandwich is the real deal y'all. It was so unexpected! Sweet, savory, a little sour and smoky, and spicy all rolled into one. Glad I went out on a limb and tried something outside of my comfort zone. Hubby had the rooster bomb and the tri tip was so flavorful and tender! Son had the Reuben and it was one of the best Reuben sandwiches I have had in a long time. The kraut was wonderful. The rye was delicious and held up! Our nephew got the BLT and he was raving about how much he loved it. Their french fries are thick cut homestyle type fry that was delicious. They were crispy on the outside and tender and soft on the inside. The house made potato chips were crispy and flavorful. I look forward to coming back and trying more! Thank you for a...

This was my first time trying Roosters. It was good, but not my favorite. When you are checking out and paying for your order, the device asks for a tip. It was a little manipulative, because it tells you the tip amount for "good," (15%) "great" (18%) and so on.. while the person ringing up your order is just watching what you choose. I didn't think it was a big deal, but there isn't service while you are dining, and you clear your own dishes, scrape the food off and everything. So I don't know what service I tipped for.

We ordered the biscuits and gravy, and it was a little more salty than we preferred. We also ordered the French Toast. It was very good, but slightly overdone.

I'd say it is casual and kid friendly, but I didn't see any high chairs. It wasn't too busy, so it was a nice brunch date with...

What a great find! Have you ever looked for a place that served delicious food, had a friendly and helpful staff, was clean and had fair prices? If you are looking for breakfast or lunch places in the Boise area, you need to check out Rooster's! We stumbled upon this place by accident and are so thrilled to have found it! We had breakfast, and decided on the veggie scramble. Of course, I had some modifications to how it is originally served ... not only did they get it perfect, they served it with a sincere smile and it was delicious! We will be back for sure, to try other options available on the menu! If you are in the area of Maple Grove and Emerald, stop in and give them a try - I am sure it will soon be one of your local favorites!

We've been wanting to have breakfast here for months. Finally got the chance to go in. Overall, it was very underwhelming. The food was ok but we were disappointed that they didn't have many high protein breakfast option. My wife and I both ordered scrambles. My cowboy was ok but the tri tip was more of steak slices with next to no flavor synonymous with tri tip. My wife's scramble was decent but lacked flavor also. On top of the mediocre food, the self serve is not becoming of a restraunt that asks for gratuity when ordering food. Not a big fan of getting my own drink, condiments and clearing the table while being asked to put dishes in the correct bibs after tipping. Lots of kinks to work out here before we make a return.
