Trust the negative reviews. Don't waste your hard earned $ here. I don't know why we keep coming here but over the years this place has become a dump & the employees are horrible. The downtown Chicago location closed & those flunkies came here. We came in asking for the menu & they said it's only buffet right now. But then 2 people came in after our party of 9 & they ordered off the menu. We asked them how they got a menu & they said they asked. I went to the manager & asked him & he said that they had food allergies. We verified & the party of 2 said no such thing. "We asked for menus & that's what we got." I went up with the couple & the manager just ignored us & played dumb. These guys suck. They just wanted $25 x 9 people plus tip. & on top of it all, the food sucks. Another family heard & told us to go to kabobi in Chicago as that's a 1000x better. They hated the food here & are mad they came here to. This manager is horrible. Hoping they close this location soon. #RezasSucks

3/17/25: Good improved under new ownership 3/14/24 - Gave another chance after 2 years as this used to be our favorite persian restaurant back in the day. Unfortunately, the experience was even bad. No food, no servers, quality is bad, service is bad, but price is $40 person (Inclu. Tax). I will be surprised if it survives another year 4/26/22 - Trued the Ramadan Buffet, make sure to take cash with you. Food was okay, service below par and refills in the buffet were not up to mark. Also, they charge gratuity of 20% on your total which is absurd for buffet. With each new visit, quality of the food is going down and prices increasing. Tonight, I tried the "Triple Play" that was listed as Tuesday special. The description sounded very tempting but it was more of vegetables and only 3 pieces of meat as you can see in the picture below. I asked for well done but it was medium rare.

Disappointing, quality of Reza's has fallen severely. Do not come here. The food was very cold and does not taste good at all, and yet we were charged almost 40 dollars per person after tax. Customer service was extremely rude. Acting like they do not care and not listing to us. The woman at the front is very mean, you can read other reviews telling you the same thing. No wonder the restruant is empty and dark. The bathrooms were in horrible conditions as well. You'd be better off in a gas station bathroom. Furthermore, a worker told us "we have soft drinks in the back" little did we know it cost $3 a can, nobody tells you about this. This restraunts quality has fallen severely compared to what it used to be. Read other recent reviews and trust me do not come here if you value your money.

Oakbrook Reza TERRIBLE food, food was cold, no flavor very bland. Chicken was tough had no flavor. The bread that they serve should have been like a oven flat pita bread, but looked like tortilla bought in a package. Again terrible. When we called to make a reservation they say that they don't take reservations. And they never told us that they did not take credit cards on the phone. Upon walking in we were told that they only take cash. Her excuse was the owner said credit card fees are too high. They are supposed to have a lunch buffet daily, that is the reason we went there in the first place to try the buffet. They advertise that they do the buffet daily, but of course they do not. When we entered we were told that they don't do the buffet during the week anymore only on the weekends. So we were very disappointed from the time we walked in the door. And the lady that greeted us very unprofessional and very rude looked very sloppy had a coat on... And she was going in and out of the kitchen like that. Very unsanitary. And the owner wasn't there, we asked for him/her.... We were given a menu. We made our selections. Then when she took our order, we were told They did not have the food items we chose. My sister-in-law ordered soup and never even got it. When we questioned her all she said was that's the owner's rules...No credit cards??? Really....who don't except credit cards these days. So we were disappointed from the time we walked in the door. It also looks very dirty inside. Food stuck on the floor had to be from the day before. We should have left, but being on lunch break doesn't give us the option to get up and go to another place when your on a timed lunch break. We went there to celebrate moms birthday. 😥Total...

Ordered Kabab koobideh dinner online. It said meat was cooked well. I selected Half white rice and half Dill rice. When I got the food home, one of the skewers of meat opened up a little when I was dishing it up and I realized there were spots of raw meat. So I opened up more and there were several raw spots. Did not live up to on line description of well done meat. Luckily I found it before eating and cooked 20 minutes. With all the meat contamination in America lately, this cannot afford to occur. I selected half white and half dill rice. I received half white but not sure what the other half is. It does not taste or smell like dill. It tastes and smells like sabzi pollo. I've always had dill rice with lima beans but this had no lima beans. Wanted to call to ask about this but they are closed. Overall food taste is B minus so not too bad. But what is irritating is you do not receive the soup you'd get if eat in. Believe to go price is no cheater though. Give us at least some cheese and parsley if soup to messy to go or lower price. I visited Rezas since they opened years ago in Andersonville. Owner used to sit and talk to us. I have watched a 5 plus star go on the decline for many years. Bring back the cheese, parsley and radish for all whether eat in or pick up. Go back to actual Persian bread not the pita you changed to. Add authentic cultural decor and music as in past because Iranians like feeling at home and others like to experience food but with cultural experience when eating food from other countries. I went to the Oak Brook location. Service was terrible. Waitress came for drinks yet no one at our table was provided with drink or food menus. So when we do get menus, she brings one drink menu for the table and not enough food menus, then comes back and doesn't even take everyone's drink orders at one time. According to the menu, the entrees are supposed to come with bread which they didn't. When my husband asked about the bread when he ordered, the waitress said not to worry about it. We got complimentary bread at the beginning but when I asked for more, the waitress said it was an additional charge but we didn't get any with our entrees like the menu stated. Then she forgot to bring the bread and I think charged for it too. The tomato lentil soup wasn't great, the flavor of the broth was good but in my portion, I saw maybe a couple of lentils and pieces of rice. We also had to request enough utensils for everyone at the table. The waitress's tone was condescending to some people in the group. She brought over a pitcher of water as we needed refills which was appreciated but then some random worker came by and just took the pitcher off our table without saying a word to bring it somewhere else. The food was overpriced for what we got. Parking was challenging due to it being in the same building as a large apartment complex. Overall big disappointment when celebrating a happy occasion. Definitely...
