The Bird Tavern — Restaurant in Illinois

My wife, my family, and I love this bar. Yes, it is a dive bar of sorts, but compared to the other bars in Springfield, this has awesome prices and awesome friendly people. It's almost one of those places where you enter as strangers and leave as friends, The bartenders are cool, the people are cool, and the drinks are cold.

They may not have a huge selection of beer or even wine, but they do have the more common beers and liquor, you will always find something.

The location is perfect, easy for cabs to find it, easy for your DD...

I enjoy the bird Everytime I go in, and the bartenders are extremely nice. The beer garden is large. I went there 2 Saturdays ago and the doors were locked at 9pm. I don't know if that was because of a private party, but people looked at us through the window on the door and didn't say anything.
